Several of SOS Events Leaders and Volunteers are going through some difficult times. Illness, death of loved ones, financial problems and family difficulties. This beautiful poem is to encourage each one. Also, to ask for prayer for all the SOS Events volunteers. God did not promise freedom from trials even when we are faithfully serving Him, but He does show His love to us and comforts us in our trials.
2 Corinthians 1:4 Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.

October 19, 2019Love that SOS ministries isn’t in the business of “just making converts” but that their hearts and ministry is to Share the Good News of Jesus Christ with whosoever God leads to them through the Holy Spirit and then follows up with those making decisions both through the local church body, national organization of SOS (prayer and age appropriate Bible studies) and discipleship/mentorship through plugging them into volunteering through the ministry. It’s the complete package: Salvation, Discipleship, Service, Duplication! Conversion and Discipleship are each a side of the same coin. But you can’t have discipleship without conversion first! American Symbols of Freedom

The American flag and the eagle, symbols of freedom for those of us who live in the USA. Freedom is something we are thankful for, however, there are many people from other countries who do not have the liberty we have. Freedom to worship and serve God without fear. For those people there is good news. Jesus gives us freedom within. If we have Jesus we are free, no matter where we are or what the circumstances.
John 8:36 If the Son (Jesus) therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

Rare Saturday

It is rare that no events are scheduled for SOS Events Ministry on a Saturday. Moving toward the end of September and there is a quiet time, but the busiest time of the year is in October and every person who has been trained to witness at events is needed. Your team leader needs to have you say YES when you are asked to volunteer at an event. Let us be faithful laborers and have hundreds of souls saved in the next 6 weeks.
Liberty

Those of us who live in America are blessed. We have freedom and liberty to worship as we please along with many other blessings guaranteed by our Constitution. However, not everyone in the USA feels free because they are bound by guilt and sin. The good news is that no matter where we live in the world we can have true freedom and liberty through Jesus Christ. Peace and freedom comes from Him and dwells within our heart.
Galatians 5:1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
