It is hard to believe that we are still having the coronavirus around for over 2 years. This has caused much division in our country, workplaces and even among families. It is time to put our trust in the Lord, and ask Him to heal our differences as well as this disease.
As Christians we need to take reasonable precautions, however, we do not need to be overwhelmed by fear and frustration. God promises to protect His children. Let us put our trust in Jesus, our Savior and give Him all of our fear no matter what the circumstances.
Psalms 34:4 – I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.
Isaiah 41:10 – Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
2 Timothy 1:7 – For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
Many people, even Christians, are fearful. Illness, natural disasters, family problems and finances are all things that cause us to fear.
But God is real. He tells us to fear not. It is a matter of faith and trust. Faith comes by hearing and hearing is the Word of God.
We need to read the Bible everyday and meditate on what God tells us. Pray and tell Jesus our fears and concerns. Find fellowship with other believers. Listen to Pastors and teachers who present the truth.
Fear and confusion are not from God. Confess our fear to Him and He will bring peace.
It is so easy to get distracted by things that are beyond our control. If our attention is on the news, we can become fearful.
Everywhere we look there is something that can cause us to take our eyes off Jesus and live in fear and uncertainty, but we have promises in God’s Word that He is with us, He has everything in control and He is with us through any situation.
“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.” Isaiah 41:10
As places like restaurants, department stores and other businesses begin to open and people start going out again, there is still a lot of fear and uncertainty in many people.
As Christians we need to take reasonable precautions, however, we do not need to be overwhelmed by fear and frustration. God promises to protect His children. Let us put our trust in Jesus, our Savior and give Him all of our fear no matter what the circumstances.
When out and about in this time of the coronavirus, there is still much fear. We do need to be careful and not do something that would put us in danger, however, to be overcome by fear is not trusting God. He wants us as Christians to look to Him for protection.
