Most of us start our day with a cup of coffee. The most important way to start our mornings though, is to spend it with Jesus. We must not neglect to read His Word and pray. That is a perfect way to start our day along with the coffee.
Psalms 5:3 My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O Lord; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.
Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. 1 Peter 5:7
Little things. Are you concerned about little things? Maybe it is something you have misplaced and it is really bothering you.
Wondering what to wear or worried about a conversation you are going to have with a loved one or friend. All these daily little things that get in the way of the important things.
Worry is a sin. The Bible tells us to cast our care upon the Lord. Does He care about the little things? Yes. Nothing is too small for Him to help you with, pray about everything.
Five questions to ask yourself when studying God’s Word from Pastor Jonathan Watson in Appomattox, VA:
“Simple questions I try to ask myself every time I study God’s Word.”
– Is there a sin I need to confess?
– Is there a promise I can claim?
– Is there an attitude I need to change?
– Is there a command I need to obey?
– Is there an example I can follow?

Your Pastor needs your prayers. He has a great responsibility. He has family, his whole congregation, including you.
Make it a habit to pray for him every week, especially when he is going to preach. Pray for wisdom and power of the Holy Spirit for him that the unsaved will hear and be saved and the believers will be convicted and get their heats right with God.
Many events are taking place today. SOS Events will be there to tell people about Jesus.
You can help by praying for souls to be saved. Volunteers are always needed. Every Christian is commanded to be a witness and SOS Events gives you that opportunity.
This weekend through mid November is the busiest time of year for SOS Events all over the USA. people need the Lord. Ask God how you can help. Prayer, volunteer and give.
Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest. Matthew 9:37-38
Those of us who live in the path of Ian a strong hurricane are thankful for God’s protection. Many have lost power, including some of our staff and volunteers of SOS Events Ministry.
Please continue to pray for the cleanup crews and that those who are still expecting damage as this storm moves northward, those who have lost homes and property.
The secret to having your prayers answered is found in this verse from God’s Word.
To abide in Jesus daily requires dependence upon the Holy Spirit in which we do three things: Walk by faith. Spend focused time. Engage in intentional actions.
To have your prayers answered, you must abide in Jesus.
“Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power:” 2 Thessalonians 1:11 KJV
Pray for your Pastor today. Especially as he preaches. That he may have the power of the Holy Spirit, that people would be convicted of sin and that the unsaved will see their need for the Savior, Jesus.
