As we come into one of the busiest seasons for SOS Events, this verse is especially meaningful. Throughout the month of October and into the first weeks of November, many events will be taking place across the eastern United States.
Our leaders and volunteers have a burning desire to see people come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. They faithfully go out “bearing precious seed”—sharing the Word of God and the wonderful message of salvation.
Many sacrifice their time, finances, and even their own comfort to serve at these events. Some travel many miles, work long hours, set up displays, talk with people, pray with them, and then pack everything up to do it all again at the next event. They do it because souls are precious to God.
As we enter this busy season, will you please pray?
Pray for our leaders and volunteers. Pray for safety as they travel. Pray for strength and good health. Pray that God will provide every need.
But most of all, pray for souls to be saved.
Pray that hearts will be prepared before our workers ever arrive. Pray that people will stop at the SOS Events booth, hear the Gospel, and understand how much Jesus loves them. Pray that many will receive Him as their Savior.
We are planting the precious seed of God’s Word, trusting Him for the harvest.
May we come again with rejoicing, bringing our sheaves with us!
