May 29, 2015SOS Events is blessed with people who have various gifts. Some are blessed with mechanical skills, some with organizational ability, some have the gift of teaching, a few preachers and evangelists. All who come with the ministry have a desire to win souls.
The newest member of the Florida team is Yolanda. Not only does she have a desire to win souls, she is bilingual and is translating SOS Events training materials into Spanish which will be a great tool to enlarge the growing Spanish ministry of SOS. She is a willing worker and will also be a part of Senior Servants who help with the monthly newsletter and tract ministry. Her first event was this week at the Plant City Flea Market where she had the opportunity to see souls come to JESUS. She is the lady on the left holding the small “3Things God Can Not Do” display board. The other lady in the photo is a new convert.

Bilingual Blessings
May 28, 2015Plant City flea Market is a great place to witness and win souls. In the summer when is is very hot in Florida the workers set up the display early, about 5:30 AM. As soon as it gets light people start to come to see what God Can Not Do at the booth. SOS Events is blessed to have a bilingual team tha works this flea market every week.
This week on Wednesday 14 people made decisions to follow JESUS. Praise the Lord! By 11 o’clock the temperature reaches in the 90’s and the team packs up until the next week. One of SOS bilingual (English and Spanish) is William, pictured here with a new convert.
Financial Blessings
May 27, 2015iPads, smart phones and computers are a great part of our lifestyle in 2015. It would be difficult if not impossible to have growth in the ministry without modern technology. However, there is nothing like having a letter or card come via snail mail, especially from faithful supporters. SOS was blessed this past week to have a check come in from a couple who are not monthly supporters but give few times a year. This check a sizable amount and was especially needed.
God supplies the need. He uses every person who gives. Sometimes it may be an envelope with a dollar or two, and the faithful supporters who give regularly at various amounts. SOS Event is blessed to have several supporters who have given since the ministry began in 2001 and some even gave to the founders even before the ministry was started.
This is an opportunity to say Thank You to all who give and have made SOS Events possible. You will have a reward in Heaven. Over 50,000 souls have made decisions for Christ since the ministry was founded in 2001.

“God Bless America” was written by Irving Berlin as a prayer in 1918 but was not published until 1938 when he revised the words and music. He wanted the song to be sung to promote victory over the treatment of the Jewish people by Hitler in World War II. Berlin wrote many Patriotic songs to encourage the troops as they fough that war.
“God Bless America” has become the unofficial American anthem and is known and sung by many. After September 11, 2001 both Democrats and Republicans joined together to sing it as a prayer.
On this Memorial Day weekend as we reflect on the victories and defeats we at SOS Events ministry would encourage you to pray for our nation today. We live in the greatest nation of the world but we are loosing our freedoms as evil is on every side, from without and from within.
The Bible gives the answer if we would just listen.
2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
Memorial Day Weekend

This is Memorial Day weekend for Americans. Sadly many are not even aware of why we have this holiday. The beginning of summer, bargains at the mall or just a time to have a picnic a lot of USA citizens think.
Memorial Day originated after the Civial War to honor the men who died. It was originally called Decoration Day. There are usually parades where living veterans March to honor their fallen heroes. Graves are decorated with American flags and flowers.
We have the great privilege of living in America where we are still free to worship, vote for our leaders and have freedom of speech. This weekend take time to think about the brave men and women who have fought for our country and if you know a veteran or someone who is in the military now say thanks for your service.
There may come a time when the freedoms we so enjoy are taken away. Take a few minutes to pray for wisdom for our leaders. We are still the “land of the free and of the brave.” Pray the USA will continue to be a free country.

66 New Salvations
May 22, 2015It is always a joy to have Pastor Romero and his wife Maria stop in for a visit. Sometimes the communication is a little difficult because of the language barrier but the fellowship is always sweet.
When he prays in Spanish we do not understand one word but the Holy Spirit is there and we feel His presence.
Yesterday they stopped by to get some supplies and brought 66 salvation cards for SOS to process and record. What a blessing. Maria is a wonderful soul winner and so humble she hides her face if she is given any recognition. This couple loves the Lord and are faithful servants.
Matthew 25:21 His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
All Seasons
May 21, 2015Weather has a lot to do with when and where events take place. Late Spring and Summertime in Florida the outside events are few because of the extreme heat. While in the northern states Spring, Summer and early Autumn are the seasons when outside events are many.
SOS Events ministry is blessed to have teams in both the North and the South. New Jersey SOS team had their first event for this year (a Flea Market) and there were 8 decisions for Christ. The Alabama team has some schuled events and in Florida there is the monthly car show and also flea markets.
Please pray for all the team leaders and volunteers who are out witnessing in all kinds of weather and circumstances. They witness in season and out of season no matter what.
2 Timothy 4:2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

The blog, Bible lessons and training will still be available but the graphics will be amazing. Scott and Joyce Weaver, trainers, friends and partners are developing the new look for the website.
