Are You Making A Difference?

September 30, 2016

Adrian Rogers had some great sermons which are still recorded and broadcasted on radio and YouTube. His message on soul winning is one of the best I’ve ever heard. This is what he said about Christians who use the excuse they don’t have the gift of soul winning. “Soul winning is not a gift, it is a command.”

He also said that 90% of Christians have never even lead one person to the Lord. The tragedy is that most Christians don’t even care.

This is a sad commentary and it must break God’s heart. Jesus came to earth, was crucified, buried and rose again that people may be saved. How about you? Are you making a difference?

Jude 1:22 And of some have compassion, making a difference:

Praise the Lord

September 29, 2016

This is a photo from the Plant City Flea Market, yesterday. William, who speaks Spanish, has been unable to be at the flea market for several weeks due to a health problem. He is back now and here he is leading woman to the Lord who only speaks Spanish. Welcome back, William and Praise the Lord for this lady who accepted Jesus. Also, thank the Lord for His healing.

Pray for SOS Events workers as our busy season is now in full swing with events every week throughout the Fall season.

Psalms 34:1 I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.

God’s Forgiveness

“When God forgives He forgets. He buries our sins in the sea and puts the sign on the shore saying, “No Fishing Allowed.” Corrie ten Boom

Psalms 103:12 As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.

Blessing for a New Christian

September 27, 2016

It is so great to hear what the Lord does for a new Christian. At The SOS Events booth in Pennsylvania, recently, a mother and a boy about 12 years old were saved. The next day they were both in church. This is the mother’s testimony;

At the auction on Saturday there was a drum set that my son really wanted. He had saved $15 to buy this drum set. The bidding started, he proudly bid up to his $15 and a lady in the crowd quickly overbid him. His disappointment was evident on his face, he did not cry but everyone could tell how disappointed he was.

There was a man in the crowd that started bidding against the lady, and soon the price had risen to $100. The lady stopped bidding and the drum set was given to the man. He turned to the young boy and gave him the drum set.

The mother’s comment was that nothing like that has ever happened to her family. She was so excited that she and her son have been saved and immediately the Lord brought blessings into their lives. She told many people at church that Sunday about the blessings that came from the Lord.

John 20:29 Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.

Monday Morning

September 26, 2016

Monday morning!! Many of us will start our week by going to work, school or running errands. Whatever you do today, remember that worshiping and talking about Jesus isn’t just for Sunday. Today, witness when given the opportunity, pray without ceasing and worship the Lord in your heart whatever else you may be doing.

Hebrews 13:15 By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.

Jesus Paid It All

September 25, 2016

This hymn says it all. Written by Elvina Hall.

I hear the Savior say,

“Thy strength indeed is small;

Child of weakness, watch and pray,

Find in Me thine all in all.”

Refrain:

Jesus paid it all,

All to Him I owe;

Sin had left a crimson stain,

He washed it white as snow.

For nothing good have I

Whereby Thy grace to claim;

I’ll wash my garments white

In the blood of Calv’ry’s Lamb.

And now complete in Him,

My robe, His righteousness,

Close sheltered ’neath His side,

I am divinely blest.

Lord, now indeed I find

Thy pow’r, and Thine alone,

Can change the leper’s spots

And melt the heart of stone.

When from my dying bed

My ransomed soul shall rise,

“Jesus died my soul to save,”

Shall rend the vaulted skies.

And when before the throne

I stand in Him complete,

I’ll lay my trophies down,

All down at Jesus’ feet.

I Peter 1:18&19 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

Pray for Police Officers

September 24, 2016

We rarely post something from Face Book on the SOS Blog, but  police officers are in danger everyday for doing their job, protecting us. Please pray for this officer and all the police personel as they daily put their lives on the line to keep us safe.

“I’d like to introduce myself. My name is Brandon McNeal I’m a police officer. I am asking that you will pray for me and each and every other officer around the world. We are under attack and we need the prayers of all God’s saints! Will you SHARE THIS and remind people to pray for us? “-Officer Brandon McNeal.

1 Thessalonians 1:2 We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers;

Desires

September 23, 2016

God’s promises are true and this verse is one that is a favorite. SOS Events goal and purpose is to get the gospel to as many people as possible and God is answering with new people in new areas every week. Desires being fulfilled. Praise the Lord!

New Life

September 22, 2016

Patty Mills wrote; One of my favorite salvation stories is when a guy brought his beer in one hand and his cigarette in the other hand into the booth to find out about the 3 things God cannot do. The Holy Spirit led him to accept Christ as His Lord and Savior for the very first time that day and after his prayer he said (matter-of-factly): “You know, I’ve been thinking about not drinking as much.” To which our soulwinner replied, “I like sweet tea. It’s pretty good.” HA! Love that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ and how God immediately works through the Holy Spirit to change our hearts once we give them to Him. Don’t have to change and get all dressed up to come to God. Come to God and He’ll do all the changing needed. (NOTE: This guy was NOT drunk. We do not give the gospel presentation to anyone who appears to be mentally/physically/emotionally unable to understand the gospel presentation. Just give them tracts and pray for them.) Love it!

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Forgiveness

September 21, 2016

“Not forgiving is like swallowing rat poison and waiting for the rat to die.”

Luke 6:37 Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:
