Thankful for Ireland Family

November 30, 2019

Carolyn Curtis, cofounder of SOS Events Ministry, visiting Ireland family missionaries, Emily (left) holding baby Noah and John (right) holding Micah, Josiah, (left front) and Abigail sitting next to Great Grandma Carolyn. Other family members from USA, Beka, Shirley and Stephen. What a great blessing to have a wonderful Christian family who serve the Lord in different parts of the world.

Safety

June 12, 2018

Carolyn Curtis (founder of SOS Events Ministry) is traveling by car from NY State back home to Florida. She went to a family reunion so many of her children and grandchildren are also traveling long distances. When the family is scattered, it is a great blessing to be able to trust the Lord for safety on the highway for all. Carolyn has 41 grandchildren and 38 great grandchildren not counting spouses or her children, so it is a large family for the Lord to look after.

Psalms 4:8 I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, Lord, only makest me dwell in safety.

Gospel to the World

October 7, 2017

Carolyn Curtis is at a Missions Conference in Indiana where she met a young missionary couple who minister in the Congo. On their travels through Zambia they were at an event and saw the “3 Things God Can Not Do” display Board. People are using this simple way to present the gospel not only in America but all over the world. What a great encouragement to SOS Events. God is blessing as the ministry continues to expand.
Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

Reunion

June 27, 2016

This past weekend was spent at a reunion with friends and family. What a blessing to share the good times we had together many years ago. It is hard to say good bye to some of these people we are thinking we will not see them again this side of Heaven. But, what a reunion that will be when we all get to Heaven and have eternity to spend with first of all our Savior Jesus and then with our loved ones who have gone on before.

A few people did not come to the school reunion and we missed them. Think of how sad it will be to be in Heaven if friends or family are missing.

Conclusion: Christian, witness to that friend or relative who is not saved. You would be surprised at how many are waiting for you to invite them to be saved.

Unsaved friend, you do not want to miss the great Reunion in Heaven when you die. Make sure of your salvation today.

2 Corinthians 6:2 (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)

Safety of The Lord

July 27, 2014

On the road there are many dangers. Going home from granddaughter’s wedding, we were stopped for over an hour because of a bad accident. A major inconvenience but we realized how great God is to bring 4 carloads of the family through that section of Highway safely.
Praising The Lord.

Proverbs 21:31
The horse is prepared against the day of battle:
but safety is of the Lord.

Salvation at Chic-fil-A

November 14, 2013

Tom and Carolyn stopped for a meal at Chick-fil-A.
While returning the trays, Tom noticed a young couple that were having a heated discussion.
He gave them a Bible track and then sat down and asked them if they knew the “three things God cannot do.”
Tom asked the question, “Are you 50, 75 or one hundred percent sure if you died today you go to heaven?”
The girl, Megan, said, “I’m hundred percent sure.”
But Brian said, “I’m not even 50% sure.”
Tom then ask him if he would like to be 100% sure.
He said, “Yes,” and the four of them held hands and Brian prayed out loud the prayer to receive Christ as his Savior.
Megan was so happy after that and when Tom and Carolyn left the restaurant the couple were holding hands and smiling at one another.
Their heated discussion was about the matter of his salvation, so this was an appointed time by God.
God puts Christians at the right place, at the right time, IF we are looking for opportunities to witness.

Montgomery, Alabama

June 26, 2013

What a blessing to have been in Montgomery. Eastmont Baptist Church is a loving caring group of Christians. 38 came out for SOS training and the enthusiasm was catching. The Pastor made the comment that he really saw the heart of his people.
They are having a celebration for Independence Day on Wednesday July 3rd, 6pm.

If anyone is in the Montgomery area, you would have a good time with the people at Eastmont.
We are praying many will come to see the 3 Things God Can Not Do.
Tom and I were so blessed with the love and care shown to us, and we want to publicly thank you all for the blessing you were to us while in Alabama. Special thanks to Pastor Mike and Dale and Dorothy Brown for their hospitality. May God bless you all.

Traveling Blessings

June 23, 2013

Sunday in Montgomery, Alabama. Lovely day to serve The Lord. He gave us, Tom and Carolyn, a beautiful restful trip after our car problems.
Now it is time to get busy and serve Him. 2 church services this morning and training for SOS this afternoon and evening. Tomorrow another training. Tom needs prayer for strength and good health.
Pray for the Christians who desire to learn to witness and win souls.
This area can use some full time workers to go to the many events in Alabama. Great opportunities.
Also, in Florida today, SOS has a team witnessing at a flea market after they go to an early church service. Pray for souls.

Traveling trials

June 21, 2013

First road trip in awhile and then the trials come. Tom and I are on the way to Alabama for a 3 day training at a large church. We got as far as Ocala, Fl, about a 90 mile distance, when our car started to give us problems. It would not shift, could not get up to the speed we needed to go. Not knowing the area we prayed, got on the web and found A-1 Automatic Transmissions in Ocala.
Praise The Lord He sent us there. The owner, Paul, took us right in, told us it was not the transmission, replaced the catalytic converter, the air filter and the sensor. He had us on the road in about 3 hours.
We had the opportunity to witness to 4 people about The Lord while waiting.
Then the rains came, torrential. Could not see so we finally stopped at a motel.
On the road again today and a tire on a truck in front of us blew out but we were able to avoid the rubber that flew at us. One more thing, another truck threw a stone which came at the passenger side and missed the windshield by 2 inches. Left 3 small dents in the roof.
We are Praising The Lord for His protection and safety. Please pray for our journey as we travel on tomorrow.

Signs Work Again

October 23, 2012

In Appomattox, VA Tom and Carolyn’s car was parked outside the church where they were training for the annual Railroad festival.. This church has a bus that picks up kids for the Awana program. A young boy saw their car and asked the bus driver, “What does that sign mean?”

The bus driver did not know as he had not been in the training class. He told the boy that he would explain it on the way home.

As soon as he dropped off the children for church, he ran into the Pastor’s office and said, “What are the 3 things God can not do?”

On the way home he changed his route so the boy could have his question answered. He told the boy what the 3 things are and that boy was saved.

God has used the signs on Curtis’ motor home and car to bring many to the Lord. Pray with them that this great soul winning tool will be used for many years as they drive from place to place.

Psalm 26:7 That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all thy wondrous works.
