Eternal Security

April 30, 2018

What a wonderful Savior Jesus is. He warns us against things that Satan will use to harm us or cause us to question God. Satan wants to steal our purpose, vision, joy, and family through doubt and discouragement. One thing Satan cannot steal from a Christian is salvation. When you trust Christ as your Savior, believe He died on the cross for your sins and repent, you are accepting the gift of Salvation which is your eternal security.

Romans 8:38-39 (KJV)

For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Tampa Bay Give Day Event 2018

The Lord has given SOS Events Ministry (Event Evangelism, Inc) the opportunity to participate in the Tampa Bay Give Day event to bring awareness to the ministry. This event benefits non-profits not only for donations but for volunteers. We so appreciate the opportunity to bring awareness to God’s ministry. The culmination of this event is Tuesday, May 1st with a possible segment on a Tampa Bay local TV station.

Your prayers are appreciated in this first time endeavor to make know God’s work in this venue. During the event we not only shared information about the ministry but were given the opportunity to witness.

We invite you to get acquainted with SOS Events by visiting the website at http://www.sosevents.org. If you are looking us up on the Tampa Bay Give Day site, we are listed as our legal name, Event Evangelism Inc. in Dover, FL.

Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.        2 Corinthians 9:7  (KJV)

Salvation

April 28, 2018

Salvation is freely offered. It has been paid for through the shed blood of Jesus Christ on the cross. All you have to do is admit you are a sinner, believe that Jesus died for you and that He is giving you this opportunity to trust in Him, then call on Him to come into your life.

John 3:16 says, For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Romans 3:23 tells us, For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Romans 5:8, But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Romans 6:23, For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Romans 10:9, That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

That is a promise from God.

Unshakeable

April 27, 2018

Psalm 62:6 gives focus to the fact that we can be unshakable when we let God steady our life. When we are out of balance in just one area of life whether emotionally, mentally, physically or spiritually then we become wobbly like a four legged table with one short leg. Look to God for help in every aspect of life. We can be unshakable in Him.

He only is my rock and my salvation: He is my defence; I shall not be moved. In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God. Trust in Him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before Him: God is a refuge for us. Psalm 62:6- 8 (KJV)

Something to Think About

April 26, 2018

As we examine the activities of our day, we might entertain the thought of change. Being willing to let the Lord change us is an important part of our growth. Romans 12:1-2 says, “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” In these verses God tells us three things on how we can partner with Him for internal and external change. 1) Present your life, work, and ministry to Him. 2) Don’t follow the pattern of the world, as you might miss out on the radical changes He wants for you and 3) Renew your mind. This can be done by staying in the Scriptures and praying as you seek God’s wisdom for your life.

Who is your Identity in?

April 25, 2018

Identification is more than our picture, our name or our actions. Our identity goes deep into our being, our soul. Have you ever felt lost in who you are? Genesis 2:7 says, “And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.” That is where our identity started. As we discover God and learn who He is and how He loves us, we realize we have a choice to accept Him, trusting Him to be our Heavenly Father. It is then we can choose to have our identity in Christ for eternity. Matthew 16:26 says, “For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

If you question your identity being in Christ, please my friend, acknowledge and admit that you have sin in your life, believe that Jesus died for you, that He was buried and was raised from the dead. He is in Heaven giving you the opportunity to trust in Him. All you need to do is call upon His name. Romans 10:13, “For whosoever(you) shall call upon the name of the Lord, shall be saved.”

John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

You can be 100% where your identity is. Mine is IN CHRIST.

Unconditional Love

April 24, 2018

Don’t let your past determine your future. Look to God for the truth. Don’t let the past steal you from the joys of today. The Lord has so much for you. I pray you will take time to read His Word daily and talk to Him through prayer then watch how he will guide you. He wants to walk with you every minute of the day, you are so important to Him. Ask Him to open your eyes to the truth of His unconditional love for you. See yourself through His eyes.

Jeremiah 33:3 (KJV) says, Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.

True Fellowship

April 23, 2018

“If you find a reluctancy to go into the presence of God, there may be unconfessed, unrepented sin in your life. Part of your quiet time is to get your heart clean and pure. Each of us needs to take ourselves by the nap of our necks and confess and repent before we come into God’s holy presence to fellowship.”

– Adrian Rogers

Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.  Psalm 51.10

Encouragement

April 22, 2018

Our heavenly Father understands our disappointment, suffering, pain, fear, and doubt. He is always there to encourage our hearts and help us understand that He’s sufficient for all of our needs. When I accepted this as an absolute truth in my life, I found that my worrying stopped.   -Dr. Charles Stanley

“If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.”    James 1:5
“And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”  II Corinthians 12:9

Fresh Start

April 21, 2018

There’s something about starting the day off studying God’s Word, whether it be the opened pages of the Bible or the push of a button on your device.  Meditating and making notes as to hide His Words in your heart for use that day.

II Timothy 2:15 says, “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
