Pray for Our Government Leaders

August 28, 2026

Our nation needs prayer. Today, let us take time to pray for those who have been given the responsibility of leadership—at the federal, state, and local levels.

We may not always agree with the decisions our leaders make, but God’s Word tells us to pray for them. Pray for our President and those serving in Washington. Pray for our governors, state officials, judges, mayors, county commissioners, school boards, law enforcement, and all who serve in positions of authority.

Ask God to give them wisdom to make good decisions. Pray that they will seek truth, value what is right, protect our freedoms, and lead with integrity. Most importantly, pray that those who do not know Jesus Christ as their Savior will come to know Him.

It is easy to complain about government. It is much more powerful to pray.

1 Timothy 2:1-2 KJV

“I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.”

Today, instead of focusing on what is wrong, let us faithfully pray for those who lead us. God hears and answers prayer.

God Answers Prayer

August 26, 2026

And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear. Isaiah 65:24

Do you ever feel like God will not hear or answer a prayer that you think He would not care about?

Wrong! God cares about the smallest detail in our lives. He knows the number of hairs on your head, so don’t you think He cares about your “little” prayers or desires.

There was a time when I wanted some grapes. I was in a city that I knew nothing about. I had no way of going to a grocery store. A knock came on door. There was a man with a bag of groceries. On the top was a cluster of the most beautiful grapes.

I had not even prayed about grapes. It was a want, and God knew my desire.

Whatever you need, God hears and answers no matter how small that need or desire is.

Pray For Harvest With SOS Events

August 19, 2026

As we look ahead to September and October, we ask you to pray for SOS Events Ministry. These are some of our busiest months of the year, with many fall festivals, community events, and Halloween alternative events where we will have opportunities to share the Gospel.

We are especially thankful for several new teams, including teams on Long Island, New York, and in Pennsylvania. Please pray that these new volunteers will be encouraged, strengthened, and given many opportunities to tell others about Jesus.

We also have an exciting opportunity to present SOS Events Ministry at a conference in California. Pray that God will open the door, provide everything that is needed, and use this opportunity to introduce the ministry to people who may want to become involved.

Most of all, pray for the people who will stop at an SOS Events display during these upcoming events. Pray that hearts will be prepared, that our workers will have wisdom and boldness, and that many souls will come to know Jesus Christ as their Savior.

The harvest is great, and we need your prayers!

Matthew 9:37-38 KJV
“Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;
Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.”

Praise the Lord—He Answers Prayer

August 14, 2026

One of the greatest blessings in the Christian life is knowing that we have a God who hears us when we pray.

Sometimes His answer comes quickly, and sometimes we must wait. Sometimes He answers exactly the way we hoped, and other times His answer is different because He knows what is best. But we can always trust that God hears the prayers of His children.

Looking back, I can see so many times when the Lord has answered prayer—providing a need, giving strength during a difficult time, protecting someone I love, opening a door, or working in a situation that seemed impossible.

Today, I simply want to say, Praise the Lord! Thank You, Jesus, for hearing and answering prayer.

Whatever you are praying about today, keep praying and keep trusting. God is listening.

I love the LORD, because he hath heard my voice and my supplications.” — Psalm 116:1 KJV

A Pastor After God’s Own Heart

August 2, 2026

A godly pastor is one of God’s greatest gifts to a church. He spends countless hours praying, studying God’s Word, preaching the truth, counseling the hurting, visiting the sick, and leading God’s people with a shepherd’s heart. Much of what he does is unseen, yet it is done out of love for Christ and His flock.

No pastor is perfect, but a faithful pastor who preaches the Bible and points people to Jesus deserves our appreciation, our encouragement, and most importantly, our prayers. The burdens he carries are often heavy, and he needs the strength and wisdom that only God can provide.

Today, take a moment to thank the Lord for your pastor. Let him know that you are praying for him and his family. A kind word, a note of encouragement, or a simple “thank you” can mean more than you realize. As we honor those who faithfully shepherd God’s people, we honor the One who called them.

Pray for Those Who Visit Our Website

June 23, 2026

This week we were amazed to learn that people from 53 different countries visited our blog. What an incredible reminder that God can use even a simple website to reach people around the world with the message of His love.

Every visitor represents a person with a soul that will spend eternity somewhere. Some may be searching for answers. Some may be carrying burdens and heartaches. Others may have never heard a clear presentation of the Gospel. Yet God, in His providence, allowed them to visit our website and read about His wonderful gift of salvation.

The greatest expression of God’s love was demonstrated when He sent His Son, Jesus, to die on the cross for our sins. Through His death, burial, and resurrection, the way has been made for all people to be forgiven and receive eternal life.

Today, let us pray for those who visit the website. Pray that the Holy Spirit will speak to their hearts as they read. Pray that those who do not know Jesus as their Savior will understand the Gospel and place their faith in Him. Pray that believers will be encouraged, strengthened, and drawn closer to the Lord.

We may never meet many of these visitors on this side of heaven, but God knows each one by name. What a joy it would be to one day meet people in heaven who came to know Christ because they visited a website, read a blog, or were touched by a message that pointed them to Jesus.

Let us continue to faithfully share the Good News and trust God to use it for His glory around the world.

America at 250: A Nation at a Crossroads!

June 9, 2026

As America approaches 250 years as a nation, it is a time to celebrate God’s blessings and to reflect on our future. Throughout our history, we have enjoyed freedoms, opportunities, and prosperity that many people around the world have never known. While our nation is not perfect, we can clearly see God’s hand of protection and provision over these many years.

Yet the Bible reminds us that every nation eventually faces a choice. Will it honor God and seek His wisdom, or will it turn away from Him and follow its own path? Throughout Scripture, nations that forgot God often experienced judgment, division, and the loss of the blessings they once enjoyed. Israel repeatedly prospered when it followed the Lord and suffered when it rebelled against Him.

The future of America will not be determined primarily by politicians, courts, or economic policies. It will be influenced by the hearts of its people. When believers pray, share the Gospel, live godly lives, and teach the next generation to love the Lord, they become a light in a dark world.

As Christians, our responsibility is not to live in fear but in faith. We should pray for our nation, support what is right, and remember that our ultimate hope is not in any earthly government but in God Himself. America’s next chapter is still being written, and God’s people have an important role to play in it.

Pray For SOS Events

May 29, 2026

As summer continues, God is opening doors for SOS Events across several states. Our Ohio team is already back at their Friday night car shows, sharing the Gospel and connecting with people in the community. In Alabama, a special outreach event is taking place tomorrow, providing another opportunity to shine the light of Christ. Here in Florida and beyond, Fourth of July celebrations, car shows, and community events are creating wonderful opportunities to meet people and share the Good News.

We are grateful for every volunteer, prayer partner, and supporter who helps make these outreaches possible. While the locations may be different, the mission remains the same—to point people to Jesus Christ.

Please pray for safety, open hearts, and many opportunities to share the Gospel in the days ahead. You may never know this side of heaven how God uses a simple conversation, smile, or Gospel tract to change a life forever.

“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” — Galatians 6:9 (KJV)

Thank you for standing with SOS Events as we continue reaching people for Christ across Ohio, Alabama, Florida, and beyond! 🌟

Have a Blessed Sunday!

May 17, 2026

Jesus prayed often, and He gave us what we call the Lord’s prayer.

If you have difficulty finding something to pray about pray the prayer that God gave us. In that prayer is what we need every day.

We need food, we need forgiveness of our daily sins, we need to forgive others. Everything we need is in this prayer.

Most important of all we need to to honor our Heavenly Father in everything we do.

Once we start praying we will know what additional things we need to pray
