Daylight or Standard Time?

June 4, 2026

Twice each year, people debate whether we should live on Standard Time or Daylight Saving Time. Some prefer more daylight in the evening, while others prefer brighter mornings. Yet regardless of which clock we follow, one truth remains: God gives each of us the same twenty-four hours every day.

The real question is not what time it is, but how we use the time God has entrusted to us.

As Christians, we are called to make our time count. Every day is an opportunity to serve the Lord, encourage others, share the Gospel, spend time in prayer, and grow in His Word. We cannot add more hours to our day, but we can choose how we invest the hours we have.

It is easy to become consumed with schedules, appointments, and responsibilities. But the most important use of our time is seeking the Lord and doing His will. One day we will look back and realize that the moments spent serving Jesus were the moments that mattered most.

Whether the clock says Standard Time or Daylight Saving Time, let us remember that time itself is a precious gift from God. May we use it wisely, faithfully, and for His glory.

“The bad news is time flies. The good news is you’re the pilot.” More importantly, God is the One who guides our path when we surrender our time to Him.
