Who Is The Most Important?

May 12, 2026

Who is the most important person in your life? It may be your spouse, a child, your boss or coworker, maybe your best friend. All of these people are important.

But, there is someone that should be the person that is even more important than anyone else.

He is able to comfort, guide, bless, and save you. He provides a way to eternal life through His death, burial and resurrection. His name is Jesus. Please make Him the most important person and Lord of your life.

Be A Fountain, Not A Drain

May 5, 2026

There is a simple quote that carries a powerful truth: Be a fountain, not a drain.

A fountain refreshes.
A drain takes away.

As believers, we have a choice each day. We can be the kind of person who pours life, encouragement, and hope into others—or we can become someone who constantly pulls the joy out of every room we enter.

In John chapter 4, Jesus met a woman at a well. She came carrying the weight of her past, the burden of her failures, and the emptiness of a thirsty soul. But after one conversation with Jesus, everything changed.

Jesus offered her something greater than the water in her bucket. He offered her living water.

But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.” — John 4:14 KJV

That woman came to the well empty.
She left overflowing.

And what did she do next? She went and told others.

The woman who came needing became the woman who was pouring.
The one who came thirsty became a fountain.

That is what Jesus still does today.

When we spend time with Him, He fills us with His Word, His peace, His joy, and His Spirit. And when we are filled with Him, we begin to overflow into the lives of others.

A fountain encourages.
A fountain gives.
A fountain refreshes.
A fountain points others to Jesus.

This world has enough drains—enough negativity, criticism, and discouragement.

Today, ask the Lord to make you a fountain.

Let your words refresh.
Let your kindness flow.
Let your testimony point someone to the Savior.

Be a fountain, not a drain.

Will You Be A Worker In God’s Field?

May 4, 2026

There is a great need in ministry today—not just for workers, but for willing hearts. The fields are still white unto harvest, and the need for faithful volunteers and godly leaders has never been greater. SOS Events continues to go where people are, meeting them in everyday places with the hope of the Gospel. But this work takes people who are willing to pray, willing to serve, and willing to say “yes” when God calls.

Jesus reminds us in Matthew 9:37 & 38 to be people of simple obedience and honest commitment. When God stirs our hearts to serve, He is not looking for excuses or hesitation. He is looking for a willing “yes.” A yes to pray. A yes to lead. A yes to stand in the gap and help carry the Gospel to those who need it most.

Today, pray for SOS Events. Pray for more volunteers with compassionate hearts. Pray for leaders who will rise up with wisdom, courage, and a burden for souls. Pray for laborers who will answer the call with a simple and faithful “yes, Lord.”

The need is great, but our God is greater. May He stir hearts, raise up servants, and send forth laborers into His harvest.

What Are You Seeking?

April 18, 2026

Have you found yourself chasing the treasures and pleasures of this world? Have you attempted to find peace and purpose outside of the One who created you?

It’s not too late for you, and you are not too far from God.

So what can you do? Seek Him. Call on Him. Change your ways. Turn to Him. And what will He do? He will be near. He will offer His mercy. He will forgive even the worst of your decisions, mistakes, and sins.

God is good. God is also good at being God. He created you, He loves you, and He wants a relationship with you.

You can ignore His nudges and reject His love, continuing to do things your way. So while you still can … seek Him, call on Him, change your ways, and turn to Him. He is your loving Father, and He is your merciful God.

Quote From John R. Rice

April 14, 2026

“The so-called “social gospel” lays stress upon this life, not on the next. In many quarters it is now regarded as very old-fashioned and passe’ to urge people to prepare to die. Social security, better housing, relief for tenant farmers, better living conditions for the poor and the care of underprivileged children—these have occupied so much of the teaching and preaching of these modern days, that preachers have left hungry-hearted people ignorant about Heaven.”
― John R. Rice

John Rice was a powerful preacher many years ago. He has passed from this life to a new life in Heaven. His words are still even more true today.

Are you ready for Heaven?

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Romans 10:9

God’s Word

March 25, 2026

“If you wish to know God, you must know his Word. If you wish to perceive His power, you must see how He works by his Word. If you wish to know His purpose before it comes to pass, you can only discover it by His Word.” (C.H. Spurgeon)

Many people from all over the world have an opportunity to study God’s word on SOS Events home page. If you have not used the Bible studies by Porter Barrington, do one today. Each one will give you knowledge and more understanding of God and the Bible.

Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee. Psalm 119:11

The True Way

March 11, 2026

Jesus uses the picture of a sheepfold to teach an important spiritual truth. A shepherd always enters the sheepfold through the door because he has the rightful authority and relationship with the sheep. Anyone who climbs in another way is clearly a thief or robber with wrong intentions.

Jesus was warning people about false teachers and leaders who try to gain influence without coming through God’s true way. They seek their own benefit rather than caring for the sheep. In contrast, Jesus is the true Shepherd who comes the right way and lovingly protects His flock.

This verse reminds us to be careful about who we follow. True spiritual leaders point people to Christ and enter by the “door,” while those who seek power, fame, or control reveal themselves by trying to come another way. The safest place for every believer is under the care of the Good Shepherd, Jesus Christ.

The Answer!

January 31, 2026

There is an answer. It is found in the Bible.

2 Chronicles 7:14

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Are You A Doer?

January 30, 2026

God’s Word was never meant to stop at our ears—it is meant to shape our lives. James reminds us that hearing Scripture without obeying it can lead to self-deception. True faith is revealed not only by what we know, but by how we live.

When we act on God’s Word, we show our love for Him and our trust in His wisdom. Obedience turns belief into action and truth into testimony. Today, ask the Lord to help you not only hear His Word, but to live it out in your daily walk.

Too Busy?

January 28, 2026
1 Corinthians 3:12-15
Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; Every man’s work shall be made manifest:for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is. If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss:but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

“We are too busy to pray, and so we are too busy to have power. We have a great deal of activity, but we accomplish little; many services but few conversions; much machinery but few results.” ~R.A. Torrey

Most Christians fall into this category today, unfortunately. In our churches we see very few conversions, in ministry there are few people that are willing to spend even three or four hours a week or even a month to go to the marketplace to witness to the lost.
Someday we will be judged for what we have done for The Lord.

Will we hear “Well done” or will our works be counted as wood hay and stubble and be cast into the fire?
When we stand before Him, will our excuse be, “I was too busy”?
