In the Christian life there are times of mountaintop experiences where everything is going great. Then there are the periods where everything seems dark and difficult. The Lord is there in the good times and the hard times.
Maybe it is loss of income, death of a loved one, failed marriage, illness or many other things that come upon everyone as we journey through life. These are the times that our true faith and Christian character show through. A time when we should draw closer to God and trust in Him to bring us the through the valley. God is merciful and He teaches us how to become more like Jesus through our trials. If you are going through a trial today, ask The Lord to give you strength, hope and courage to get you beyond this hardship and help you grow in Christ. Remember, He is right there with you helping you to carry that burden.
Matthew 11:28-30 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart:and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

August has not even arrived and summer is almost over for some people. School starts soon for the southern states. Some as early as next week. Life seems to move to fast with work, home and responsibilities. In your busy life make sure you take time, first for God, then for family and if priorities are straight every thing else will fall into place.
Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

God answers prayer. Yesterday’s blog asked you to pray for people to be saved at the Flea Market, and God blessed Alice, William and Randy with 15 salvation decisions. Thank you to those of you who prayed and continue to pray for these new Christians.

These 4 precious children asked Jesus to forgive their sins last week at the Plant City Flea Market. God has given a wonderful harvest this summer on Wednesdays because school is out. Only 2 more weeks and school will start then the opportunities to win students will end until another vacation. Pray for the remaining weeks that God will bring more young people into His Kingdom.
Luke 18:16 But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.

Praise the Lord for the 32 saved at the Genesee County Fair in Batavia, NY. Also, 315 people were witnessed to at the display. Pray The Holy Spirit will continue to convict these who stopped by but did not make the decision to trust Jesus.

Carolyn Curtis at the Genesee County Fair. Over 20 Salvations by Friday evening and one more day to witness. This is a small fair and a new team for SOS Events Ministry and the opportunity to win people to the Lord is wonderful. Pray for many souls today as it is the last day of the fair and also Carolyn would appreciate prayers for her as she travels back to Florida today.Edit
