God is Good

August 10, 2018

On July 24, Carolyn Curtis, cofounder of SOS Events Ministry tripped over a vine in her yard and broke her hip. Surgery the next day and two weeks of intensive rehabilitation and she is finally home and able to take on the responsibilities of the ministry again. A special thanks to the office staff of SOS Events, Diana, Alice and Jan who kept things running smoothly as they always do. God has blessed SOS Events with great workers both in the home office and the great soul winners that go to events. Please continue prayer for Carolyn as she recovers at home. Projection for complete recovery is 3 to six months.

To God be the glory for the progress that has been made for Carolyn as she is doing extremely well. God is good.

Psalms 84:11 For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.

Pastors and SOS Events

February 18, 2018

SOS Events has many Pastors who love this ministry and use the “3 Things God Can Not Do ” in their personal soul winning, in sermons, at churchyard events and witness in a SOS Events booth at community events. We are thankful for these Pastors who have partnered with SOS Events and pray the Lord will bless them and that new people will be added to their congregation. Pray for your Pastor today.

2 Thessalonians 1:11 Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power:

Be Thankful for Bad Things

November 20, 2017

Can we be thankful for the bad things in life? Maybe we don’t feel thankful, but God tells us to be thankful in all things. Tell Him you are thankful not because of feelings but because of obedience. Eventually, after a period of time you will be able to thank Him in your heart and remember the precious memories of the good things God has given you. (This is my experience after the death of 2 beloved sons)

1 Thessalonians 5:18

In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

Be Thankful

November 5, 2017

We should be thankful for all our blessings everyday not just on Thanksgiving. Today look around and be thankful for the little things God does for us everyday.

Irma Update

September 13, 2017

Thank you to everyone who prayed for SOS Events Ministry during the hurricane Irma. God spared our property from a direct hit and there was no damage to the buildings. Electricity was restored late yesterday, but still no internet and phone service is spotty, so communication and regular office work cannot be continued as usual. There is a lot of debris on the property that needs to be cleaned up (volunteers would be appreciated). Prayers were answered and the Lord gave us safety. There was no loss of life and all SOS Events staff and volunteers came thought safely. Praise the Lord for His grace and protection. Hopefully by next week everything will be back to normal and witnessing, Bible Studies to new Christians and the office will be up and running.

Psalms 52:9,  I will praise thee for ever, because thou hast done it: and I will wait on thy name; for it is good before thy saints.

Give Thanks for Freedom

July 2, 2017

Sunday, the Lord’s Day and in America we have the freedom to go to the church of our choice. We are blessed. Our Country’s leaders gave us the freedom to worship as we please. As we worship today let us give thanks for our freedom to worship whenever and wherever we wish. God wants us to worship Him with our whole heart.

Psalms 35:18 I will give thee thanks in the great congregation: I will praise thee among much people.
