August 30, 2017Many of us are trying to loose weight. We diet, exercise, and try to stay away from food that will keep us from our goal. The Bible says we have weight that we need to get rid of and it is called sin. We need to decide to loose the “weight” of sin in our lives. Jesus said He is the bread of life. We must first trust Him to take away our sin. Then a good exercise is to read the Bible and pray everyday. Then put away anything that will keep sin in our lives. It may be wrong friends, or a bad habit, or going to places where we are tempted to pick up our sin again. Let us loose the weight we need to both physical and spiritual.
John 6:48 I am that bread of life. Hebrews 12:1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
Great and Mighty Things
August 29, 2017What a joy to see that people from around the world are taking advantage of SOS Events website and especially this blog. As of this morning people from 79 countries outside the USA have visited the site. What an opportunity to study God’s Word with the Bible studies. Salvation is presented clearly on the home page for the unsaved. People praying for SOS Events from all over the world is a great blessing. When this Ministry was founded in 2001 with just two ordinary people, we never expected to see it grow to influence not only the USA but many countries around the world. To God be the glory.

August 28, 2017Do you pray for your Pastor? He needs all the help and prayer you can give him. He has many burdens he cannot share with anyone except his Heavenly Father because of his great and many responsibilities for his family and congregation. Pray for him today and everyday.

God Blessed Alabama Event
August 27, 2017Yesterday, God blessed En Fuego Event with over 270 decisions reported by SOS Events leaders. Praise the Lord!! He is the one who draws the people to Himself. Thank the SOS Events Alabama team for their faithfulness in soul winnng at events. Thank those of you who prayed for this great event.

How To Love The Unlovable
August 26, 2017Do you have a neighbor or a family member that is not very lovable? Sometimes certain people are hard to love. Love is a choice. One thing that helps us to love the unlovable is prayer and forgiveness. Pray for that person, not just once but daily. Not that the Lord will bring something bad on them but that God will give YOU the love of Christ for that person. It works. It is hard to harbor ill feelings toward a person you are praying for.
Matthew 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
SOS Alabama
August 25, 2017Ok leaders…need your help and prayers. Looking for 2 additional leaders to bring some volunteers with them to En Fuego event this Sat in Verbena, Al. Your church may already have plans to attend and if so this would be a GREAT way to plug in your youth. Please pray for the needs for workers at this Alabama event tomorrow and that many souls will be saved.

Jesus Our Protector

When traveling or in dangerous situations we have a protector, Jesus our Savior. Today let us give Him thanks for His protection.
Just One
August 23, 2017Have you heard the expression “Be careful what you pray for”. God answers prayer specifically. Sometimes we ask for something small when He could have given you something more. This is an example that happened at an SOS Events booth recently. Nothing was happening. No one wanted to stop by to see the “3 Things God Can Not Do”. All through the event the soul winner prayed, “One, Lord, just give us one.” The event was about to end after 4 hours and one young man came over to check things out. He wanted to be saved and in just a few minutes he called upon Jesus to be his Savior. The event ended with JUST ONE! God wanted to show us something. Never again at an event will we pray for just one when God wants to see many people saved.
Matthew 21:22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.
Soapbox Derby in Alabama
August 22, 2017“We would like to give God all the Praise and Glory for the 8 decisions at The Soap Box Derby in Dadeville Alabama on Saturday August 19th. It was a great day being about the Lords business and we met some great people. We were honored when the director of the event asked Wesley to open the derby in prayer.
