The Word was shared on Sunday morning, but not in a church building. The Good News of Jesus Christ went forth at the Mt. Top Flea Market in Alabama, where 9 precious people trusted Jesus as their Savior!
This faithful SOS Events team, led by Ronnie and Connie Burlison, is one of two SOS Events teams serving throughout Alabama. Based in the Montgomery area, they continue to faithfully share the Gospel wherever God opens doors.
“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” — Romans 10:17
If you had to give one life-changing tip, what would it be?
If someone asked me to share just one life-changing tip, my answer would be simple:
Trust Jesus Christ as your Savior.
There are many good pieces of advice in life. Work hard. Be kind. Save for the future. Forgive others. All of these are valuable. But none of them can compare to knowing Jesus Christ personally.
The greatest decision anyone will ever make is to place their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. He came to this earth, died on the cross for our sins, was buried, and rose again the third day. He offers forgiveness, peace, purpose, and the promise of eternal life to all who believe in Him.
Life will still have its trials, disappointments, and heartaches, but when Christ is your Savior, you never face them alone. He walks with you, strengthens you, and gives you a hope that this world can never offer.
If I could leave just one tip with every person I meet, it would be this:
Don’t wait another day. Trust Jesus Christ as your Savior. It is the one decision that changes not only this life, but eternity.
“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved…” — Acts 16:31 (KJV) :::writing
May the Lord use this simple message to encourage believers and point those who do not yet know Him to the Savior.
This morning I spent time reading Isaiah 53, and my heart was overwhelmed once again by the incredible love of Jesus Christ.
Hundreds of years before Jesus was born, Isaiah described the suffering that our Savior would endure. Every wound, every bruise, every moment of rejection and agony was not because of anything He had done—but because of our sin. He willingly took our place.
When I stop and think about the cross, I realize that my salvation was not free. It was purchased at an immeasurable cost. Jesus bore the punishment that I deserved so that I could receive the forgiveness I could never earn.
What amazing love! What amazing grace!
May we never take His sacrifice for granted. Instead, let us live each day with thankful hearts, praising the One who loved us enough to suffer and die in our place. The greatest response we can give is to love Him, obey Him, and share the wonderful message of salvation with others who need to know the hope found only in Jesus Christ.
Today, take a few moments to read Isaiah 53. Let it remind you of the depth of God’s love and the tremendous price Jesus paid so that we could have eternal life
This past Saturday, the Western New York SOS Events Ministry team, led by Scott, had the privilege of sharing the Gospel at an event held at a local church in Ransomville, New York.
One special blessing was seeing Scott’s 16-year-old daughter faithfully volunteering alongside the team. It is always encouraging to watch young people step forward to serve the Lord. They are not only helping today—they are learning to become tomorrow’s faithful servants.
God blessed the outreach with one woman trusted Jesus as herSavior and a young man listened and will make that decision later.
While some may look at the number and think it is small, Heaven rejoices over every soul that comes to Christ. Those two decisions represent two lives changed for eternity.
We are so thankful for Scott, his family, and every volunteer who faithfully gives of their time to Serve Our Savior. Every conversation, every smile, every Gospel tract, and every prayer is used by God in ways we may never fully know this side of Heaven.
“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” — Galatians 6:9 (KJV)
SOS Events has a new Team in Tennessee. Team Leader is Harry Alexander who lives in Athens. With his wife.
They had a SOS booth at the 4th of July Celebration. This was their first event. God blessed with a father and son who made decisions to follow the Lord.
Harry is doing follow-up this Saturday with the family. He would appreciate your prayers.
While America celebrated the blessings of freedom this Fourth of July weekend, Heaven celebrated an even greater freedom.
Five precious people made the life-changing decision to surrender their lives to Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. There is no greater joy than knowing someone has trusted Christ and received the gift of eternal life.
What a privilege it is for SOS Events Ministry to go where people are, share the Gospel, and watch God work in hearts. We are so thankful that the Lord allows us to Serve Our Savior by telling others about His amazing love and salvation.
A special thank you to Patricia and Paul for volunteering. Your willingness to give your time, your faithful service, and your love for people make an eternal difference. We are truly grateful for your faithfulness.
We also rejoice over another Fourth of July blessing at the Santuck Flea Market in Alabama. God continues to open doors, and we praise Him for every opportunity to share the Good News of Jesus Christ.
As we thank God for the freedoms we enjoy as Americans, may we never forget the greatest freedom of all—the freedom found in Christ through His death, burial, and resurrection. Every soul that comes to know Him is a reminder that God’s work is still changing lives today.
“If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.” — John 8:36 (KJV)
What a blessing we experienced this Wednesday at the Plant City Farm & Flea Market in Plant City, Florida! As hundreds of people walked through the market looking for bargains and produce, God was at work doing something far more important—changing lives for eternity.
Our faithful SOS Events volunteers had the privilege of sharing the Gospel with many people throughout the day. We rejoice that 9people trusted Jesus as their Savior.
What a reminder that every event, every conversation, and every Gospel tract can make an eternal difference.
The Plant City flea market has long been a gathering place for people from all walks of life, especially on Wednesdays when the market is bustling with vendors and visitors. Yet the greatest treasure found there this week was not something purchased—it was the gift of eternal life received through faith in Christ.
Please continue to pray for these new believers as they begin their spiritual journey. Pray also for our volunteers who faithfully return week after week to share the Good News. The harvest is still plentiful, and we are grateful for every opportunity God gives us to reach others.
Nine salvations mean that heaven rejoiced nine times on Wednesday! To God be the glory.
“I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.” Luke 15:7
Last Saturday SOS Events Team went to the 21st Annual Car Show at Bay Life Church in Brandon, Florida.
God blessed the volunteers with 4 decisions. People who came to see classic cars went home with the assurance that they now will go to Heaven because they put their faith in Jesus Christ.
The message they heard was that Jesus died on the cross, was buried and 3 days later He arose!
They realized that they were sinners, asked for forgiveness, and believed that Jesus paid the penalty for all their sin.
Please pray for these people. Following Jesus is not always easy, but There is no greater joy than a life surrendered to Him.
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10:13
The SOS Team in Ohio has started the season in a wonderful way! At their very first car show of the year, 13 people trusted Jesus Christ as their Savior. What a blessing to see God moving in such a powerful way.
Car shows may bring people together because of their love for classic cars and fellowship, but we know the greatest reason we are there is to share the Gospel. Every conversation matters. Every smile matters. Every tract matters. And this first event reminds us again that God is still changing lives.
We are thankful for the faithful Ed and Rhonda who gave their time, energy, and love to minister to others. Seeds were planted, hearts were touched, and 13 precious souls made decisions that will last for eternity.
As this new season of ministry begins, please continue to pray for the SOS teams across the country—that many more people will come to know Christ.
“But he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together.” — John 4:36 KJV
We are thankful to share a blessing from our Alabama SOS Team! Carl Norton recently set up SOS Events at Bluff Springs Baptist Church in Ashford, Alabama—the very church he grew up attending. What a joy to see God open the door for ministry in such a personal and meaningful place.
During the event, there was one salvation and one other spiritual decision.
One young girl trusted Christ as her Savior, and Carl was able to speak with her and go through the plan of salvation. Because she is only seven years old, he wisely encouraged her mother—who is already a believer—to continue talking with her and helping her grow in her understanding of what it means to follow Christ.
Another young lady also made a decision for Christ. When Carl asked her mother if they had a church home, she shared that they had just recently started attending Bluff Springs Baptist Church. Carl then made sure to speak with the pastor, who said he would follow up with the family and talk with her about taking the next step in baptism.
We rejoice over these precious decisions and thank the Lord for the faithful follow-up of both family and church. Please continue to pray for these two young lives—that they will grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
“Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.” — Luke 15:10 KJV
