Two of the SOS Events staff went to check out public events in their area yesterday that SOS Events may have opportunity to have a booth in the future. Both events had hundreds of people that probably the majority were not saved. You have opportunities in your area also, however, the problem is Christians who are unwilling to go soul winning at an event. Look around. Hundreds of people who do not know how to get to Heaven because we are too lazy or have “more important” things to do than be a witness for the Lord. Let the Holy Spirit search your heart.
Luke 10:2 Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.

After a visit to the Halocaust Meseum in St. Petersburg, Fl, I was reminded of Corrie Ten Boom a dedicated Christian, and her family who saved the lives of many Jews during World War II. She and her family were caught and Corrie and Betsie (her sister) were sent to Herzogenbusch political concentration camp, and finally to Ravensbrück, a women’s labor camp in Germany. Betsie died there and because of a clerical error Corrie was released just before the women in that prison were sent to the gas chambers. Did Corrie harbor hatred for her enemies. No! She found the answer to peace in the Bible. Love and Forgiveness. “Forgiveness is the key that unlocks the door of resentment and the handcuffs of hatred. It is a power that breaks the chains of bitterness and the shackles of selfishness.” Corrie Ten Boom
Matthew 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

Do we as Christians deny our Lord by keeping our mouths shut instead of witnessing like the Bible commands? We talk about everything else but when it comes to telling someone about the Lord we don’t. Why is it that a group of Christians will be happy to go for hours to fellowship but will not take 3 or 4 hours a week, a month or even a year to witness? It is time we stop being ashamed and be like Paul who wrote the book of Romans in the New Testament. Are we silent because we are ashamed?

Blessings come in many ways. A email message, a visit or a phone call can really be an uplift to your day. Yesterday a blessing came to Carolyn Curtis via a message from her cousin, Joe, who she had not seen in many years. He wanted to find out more about SOS Events as he goes soul winning continually in Westen New York. He wants to have a booth along the Erie Canal. Many places along the canal have become tourist attractions. A great opportunity for soul winning in the summer as people gather to have picnics, boating and special events. What a joy to have a family member who has the same desire to win souls. Pray for Joe and his vision for a booth on the Erie Canal that will bring many soul to Christ.
Proverbs 29:18 Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.

Time to think about fun and soul winning. A great place to have an event is at the church where neighbors can come and meet church members, have fun and fellowship. Eastmont Baptist Church in Montgomery, Alabama had a Neighborhood Picnic last weekend and 4 people made decisions to follow Jesus. What a blessing. Now the church will follow up by sending notes and visiting. This is a great way to help your church to grow.
Acts 2:47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

Are you looking for Jesus? We get so busy with the cares of this life that we sometimes do not remember that Jesus is coming back, and it could be soon. The Bible tells us that we do not know the day or the hour but when we least expect it He will come. We will be caught up to meet Him in the air, if we have trusted Him as Lord and Savior. Are you ready and watching?
1 Thessalonians 4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

The leaders of SOS Events are always looking for ways to expand and improve the outreach for the ministry. Sunday Carolyn and Alice visited a church and was given the opportunity to update the congregation on activities of SOS Events. This church has been going to first Friday in Lakeland for several years and the congregation are excited to have us schedule a training so more people can be involved in soul winning. If you are interested in someone from SOS Events come to your church to train and supply materials so you can witness at events please email (info@sosevents.org) or call the office (813-494-7927).
Proverbs 11:30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.

Want to have a great day today? Do something special for the one you love, spouse, parent or child. It may be something a simple as making their favorite food or leaving them a note in an unexpected place. Maybe it is a friend or neighbor that you could encourage. Call them or stop over with a small gift. A smile to a person you do not know and a friendly “Have a blessed day” may make a huge difference in that persons life. Anything you can do to bless someone else can give you joy in your day even if you may be feeling down.
Romans 12:10 Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;
