I remember when hurricanes were fun. No one panicked. No one hoarded. We got our surfboards out ready to hit the beach. If the power went out it was exciting because we got to light candles throughout the house and eat ice cream for breakfast. If you were lucky, you got school off for a day. What happened? I went to the store yesterday to grab some dog treats and dinner and it was like the apocalypse. The parking lot was a derby. No shopping carts. There was dry dogfood spilled in the aisles like there was a fight over the last bag of Fido’s fave brand or something. 😂
I got my stuff and got outta there. Now I need to go to the store today because we ran out of coffee creamer.😠Please pray for us here in Florida. Because of the people. They are what I’m most frightened of. 😰😉

Today, people in the USA are looking forward a long Labor Day weekend. Many people will be on busy highways traveling by car. In Florida, people are anxious because the news media is warning of danger because of hurricane, Dorian. We as Christians need to trust in The Lord for safety. Take precautions but know that our safety is in the Lord.

Last weekend the Ohio SOS Events team, lead by Stephanie Curtis, went to a corn Festival near Toledo. The Lord blessed these faithful team members with 26 people who invited Jesus to be their Savior. Pray for these new believers and also the Ohio team as they continue to win souls. This team is looking for new volunteers to join them.
Matthew 9:38 Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.

SOS Events Ministry partners with Source of Light Ministry in Georgia. When a person fills out a decision card at an SOS Events booth, that name, address and age is sent to Source of Light, then an age appropriate Bible Study is sent to that person. The results are amazing. Recently, in one week 130 completed first Bible Studies were returned to Source of Light for correction and prayer. Most of those studies came from SOS Events contacts. The Bible Studies will continue to be sent as long as the individual continues to complete them and send them in. The average is 13 or more lessons. What a wonderful foundation for a new believer.
John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

Awesome day last Saturday at SOS Events Ministry mid year meeting at St. Clair County Cowboy Church. Brother Dwayne Banks hosted the meeting and a great time was had by all. A wonderful meal and fellowship was enjoyed and we all came together with ideas to make event planning and getting through each of our large lists of events smoothly. Thank you to each one who came out and helped make this day great!!

Maybe you are tired…be renewed at church. Maybe you are depressed…be uplifted at church. Maybe you are discouraged by the church itself…be reconciled at church. Maybe you have lost your way…be directed at church. Church…Christ died for it. It’s important. Be thankful if you have a choice of church today. Sometimes life is hard. Maybe you are struggling with a spouse who is ill, a child who has problems or someone who is making your life miserable. You need strength to get through this day. You have someone that gives strength when you have to do something extremely hard. Jesus is with you. Giving you what you need to get through the day. Ask Him to help you.
