Rest In Jesus!

“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28 KJV

Do you ever get tired, weary, discouraged, or just plain worn out? Sometimes the burdens of life can become so heavy that we feel we just cannot carry them another step.

Jesus tells us what to do. He says, “Come unto me.” We do not have to carry our burdens alone. We can bring our cares, our troubles, our disappointments, and even our weariness to Him.

The Bible also tells us, “Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.” — 1 Peter 5:7 KJV

What a wonderful promise! Jesus cares about everything that concerns us. When we give our burdens to Him, He gives us the rest and renewal we need—physically, mentally, and spiritually.

Whatever is weighing you down today, bring it to Jesus. Trust Him with it. He knows what you need, and He has promised:

“I will give you rest.”

Walking in His Steps

“For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:” — 1 Peter 2:21 KJV

Years ago there was a popular Christian book called In His Steps. It challenged Christians to look at the life of Jesus and ask themselves if they were truly following His example.

That challenge is just as important today.

First Peter 2 tells us that Jesus left us an example, that we should follow His steps. When we read the verses that follow, we see what those steps looked like. Jesus did no sin. He did not answer evil with evil. When He suffered, He trusted Himself to God. He willingly bore our sins on the cross so that we could be saved and live for Him.

Then the chapter closes with this beautiful reminder:

“For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.” — 1 Peter 2:25 KJV

Following in His steps does not mean we walk alone. Jesus is our Shepherd. He goes before us, cares for us, leads us and guides us as we walk with Him.

Today, may we ask ourselves: Am I walking in His steps?

A Day to Worship

In the midst of life’s busyness, God lovingly invites us to pause and turn our hearts toward Him. For many Christians, Sunday offers a special opportunity to gather with fellow believers, listen to His Word, pray, sing praises, and remember the goodness of our Lord.

Worship is not limited to one day. Each morning and throughout every ordinary moment, we can honor God and give Him thanks. Yet there is something deeply meaningful about setting aside time to step away from our usual routines and worship together. In the presence of God’s people, we are reminded that we are not walking alone and that our Savior is worthy of all our praise.

As you go to church today, come with an open and grateful heart. Don’t simply attend—worship! Take time to thank Jesus for His unfailing love, abundant mercy, saving grace, and the countless blessings He has placed in your life. Let your worship be more than words or songs; let it rise from a heart that is resting in Him.

“O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker.” — Psalm 95:6 KJV

May you experience the nearness of the Lord and have a truly blessed Sunday as you worship Him.

Is The LORD First In Your Heart?

What does it mean to truly love the Lord? This verse gives us the answer: with all our heart, soul, and strength.

God does not want only a small part of our lives. He wants to be first in our thoughts, our decisions, our relationships, and everything we do. When we love Him wholeheartedly, serving Him is not just a duty—it becomes a joy.

Our love for God is shown in the way we obey His Word, spend time with Him in prayer, and share His love with others. We will never love Him perfectly, but every day we can choose to love Him more.

Today, ask yourself: Is the Lord first in my heart?

And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. Deuteronomy 6:5

Don’t Give Up

Sometimes we get tired. We pray, serve, give, encourage others, and try to do what God wants us to do, but we may not see the results we hoped for.

God reminds us in Galatians 6:9—don’t give up!

Every prayer matters. Every kind word can make a difference. Every time the Gospel is shared, a seed is planted. We may not always see what God is doing, but He is working.

This is especially true in ministry. There may be days when we become discouraged, but then one person accepts Jesus as Savior, and we are reminded why we keep going.

Keep praying. Keep serving. Keep sharing Jesus.

God promises that “in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”

Today, if you are weary, ask the Lord for renewed strength. Your labor for Him is never in vain.

One Life-Changing Tip

If you had to give one life-changing tip, what would it be?

If someone asked me to share just one life-changing tip, my answer would be simple:

Trust Jesus Christ as your Savior.

There are many good pieces of advice in life. Work hard. Be kind. Save for the future. Forgive others. All of these are valuable. But none of them can compare to knowing Jesus Christ personally.

The greatest decision anyone will ever make is to place their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. He came to this earth, died on the cross for our sins, was buried, and rose again the third day. He offers forgiveness, peace, purpose, and the promise of eternal life to all who believe in Him.

Life will still have its trials, disappointments, and heartaches, but when Christ is your Savior, you never face them alone. He walks with you, strengthens you, and gives you a hope that this world can never offer.

If I could leave just one tip with every person I meet, it would be this:

Don’t wait another day. Trust Jesus Christ as your Savior. It is the one decision that changes not only this life, but eternity.

What Would Jesus Think?

Do you remember the saying, “What Would Jesus Do?” It became very popular years ago. Many people wore bracelets, placed it on their cars, or displayed it in their homes.

Today, I want to encourage you to think of it a little differently:
“What Would Jesus Think?”

If we think like Jesus, we begin to put others before ourselves. We strive to be humble rather than proud. We choose to give rather than take. We learn to love our neighbors with compassion and grace. As we grow in this mindset, we become more like Jesus.

So today, rather than grumble and complain, let us choose thankfulness. Let us look at others through the eyes of Christ. Let us think with kindness, humility, and love.

Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 2:5 KJV

Bay Life Car Show

May 22, 2026

Last Saturday SOS Events Team went to the 21st Annual Car Show at Bay Life Church in Brandon, Florida.

God blessed the volunteers with 4 decisions. People who came to see classic cars went home with the assurance that they now will go to Heaven because they put their faith in Jesus Christ.

The message they heard was that Jesus died on the cross, was buried and 3 days later He arose!

They realized that they were sinners, asked for forgiveness, and believed that Jesus paid the penalty for all their sin.

Please pray for these people. Following Jesus is not always easy, but There is no greater joy than a life surrendered to Him.

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10:13

Who Is The Most Important?

Who is the most important person in your life? It may be your spouse, a child, your boss or coworker, maybe your best friend. All of these people are important.

But, there is someone that should be the person that is even more important than anyone else.

He is able to comfort, guide, bless, and save you. He provides a way to eternal life through His death, burial and resurrection. His name is Jesus. Please make Him the most important person and Lord of your life.
