Rhonda, Ed and their son, Nathan are a great SOS Events Team in Ohio. Friday evenings they are faithful to be at the Car Show witness using the “3 Things God Can Not Do”.
God once again blessed them with 16 salvations. To God be the glory!
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10:13
Many people want Jesus as their Savior because they want forgiveness, peace, and the promise of Heaven. And praise God, salvation is a free gift through faith in Him. But Jesus did not come only to save us from sin — He came to be Lord of our lives.
Making Jesus Lord means we surrender our hearts, our plans, our choices, and our future to Him. It means trusting Him not only in church on Sunday, but in our everyday lives. It means allowing Him to guide our words, attitudes, relationships, and decisions.
Sometimes we want Jesus to rescue us, but we still want control. Yet true joy and peace come when we fully place our lives into His hands. He knows the path ahead far better than we do. When He is Lord, we no longer carry life’s burdens alone.
Being Lord of our life does not mean we will be perfect, but it does mean we desire to follow Him, obey Him, and honor Him. Day by day, we learn to say, “Lord, what would You have me to do?”
The wonderful truth is that when we surrender to Him, we discover His love, direction, strength, and purpose in a deeper way than ever before. Nothing compares to the peace that comes from fully trusting Jesus and allowing Him to lead every step of our journey.
There is a simple quote that carries a powerful truth: Be a fountain, not a drain.
A fountain refreshes. A drain takes away.
As believers, we have a choice each day. We can be the kind of person who pours life, encouragement, and hope into others—or we can become someone who constantly pulls the joy out of every room we enter.
In John chapter 4, Jesus met a woman at a well. She came carrying the weight of her past, the burden of her failures, and the emptiness of a thirsty soul. But after one conversation with Jesus, everything changed.
Jesus offered her something greater than the water in her bucket. He offered her living water.
“But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.” — John 4:14 KJV
That woman came to the well empty. She left overflowing.
And what did she do next? She went and told others.
The woman who came needing became the woman who was pouring. The one who came thirsty became a fountain.
That is what Jesus still does today.
When we spend time with Him, He fills us with His Word, His peace, His joy, and His Spirit. And when we are filled with Him, we begin to overflow into the lives of others.
A fountain encourages. A fountain gives. A fountain refreshes. A fountain points others to Jesus.
This world has enough drains—enough negativity, criticism, and discouragement.
Today, ask the Lord to make you a fountain.
Let your words refresh. Let your kindness flow. Let your testimony point someone to the Savior.
Each sunrise over the ocean is a quiet reminder of God’s faithfulness. As the waves roll in and the sky fills with light, we are reminded that no matter how dark the night has been, His mercy rises again with the morning.
The same God who paints the heavens with beauty is the One who holds our hearts in peace. Let the sunrise remind you today that every new day is another gift from His hand—fresh grace, renewed hope, and endless proof of His love.
It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.” — Lamentations 3:22–23 KJV
Lyle and his wife Shirley have been a tremendous blessing to SOS Events for many years. As faithful “snowbirds” traveling from Michigan to Florida, they have consistently given their time and energy to serve wherever needed.
Now, as they return to Michigan, Lyle is stepping into an exciting new chapter—helping to start and strengthen a team there. He works alongside an established group led by Loraine and Larry, faithfully supporting their SOS Events outreach efforts.
What makes Lyle’s story especially inspiring is that he is embracing this new responsibility at 91 years old. His willingness to serve proves that God can use anyone, at any age, who is willing to step forward in faith.
Lyle and Shirley are shining examples of dedication, faithfulness, and a heart for reaching others.
And even to your old age I am he; and even to hoar hairs will I carry you: I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you. Isaiah 46:4
The Southeastern Livestock Expo Rodeo in Montgomery, Alabama was more than just an exciting event filled with rodeo action—it was an opportunity to share the Gospel and see lives changed for eternity.
Our SOS Events Alabama team faithfully served throughout the rodeo, engaging with attendees from all walks of life. In the midst of the energy and excitement, meaningful conversations took place—reminding us that even in busy, fun-filled environments, hearts are open and searching.
We are thankful to report that 7 people made decisions to follow the Lord during this event. What a blessing to see God working in such a powerful way! Each decision represents a life touched, a soul reached, and a step toward eternity with Christ.
PRodeos bring together families, communities, and people who may not otherwise walk into a church—but God meets people right where they are. It is a joy and privilege for SOS Events to be present in places like this, shining the light of Jesus in everyday settings.
As we reflect on this event, we are reminded that the harvest is truly plentiful. Please continue to pray for those who made decisions—that they will grow in their faith and become strong in the Lord.
The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise. Proverbs 11:30 (KJV)
This past Saturday at the Antioch Feed Store Market, SOS Events once again had the privilege of sharing the love of Christ with our community. It was a beautiful day filled with conversations, prayer, and the clear presence of the Lord.
We are thankful to report that 4;individuals made decisions for Christ. Each conversation reminded us why outreach matters—meeting people where they are and lovingly pointing them to the hope found in Jesus. God is still drawing hearts to Himself, and we are humbled to be part of His work.
Please continue to pray for those who made decisions, that they will grow in their faith and be encouraged to connect with a Bible-believing church. We also thank all the volunteers who faithfully serve through SOS Events, planting seeds and trusting God for the increase.
To God be the glory for what He is doing through SOS Events—one heart at a time.
“I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance. Luke 15:7
Everything around us is temporary—our strength, our plans, even the beauty of nature itself. Just as grass withers and flowers fade, so do human achievements and circumstances. Life moves quickly, and nothing earthly lasts forever.
Yet in the midst of all this change, God gives us something eternal: His Word. Unlike the world, the promises of God do not fade, weaken, or fail. What He has spoken remains true in every generation, in every season of life.
This verse encourages us to anchor our faith not in what we can see, but in what God has said. When life feels uncertain, His Word stands firm. When people disappoint, His promises remain faithful. The Word of our God shall stand for ever—and that is where our hope is securely found.
