Tom Curtis went to be with the Lord in early 2017, and Carolyn Curtis still carries on Tom’s vision, purpose and plan, alongside of many others at the same headquarters in Dover, Florida.

I was reminded again of Tom’s passion, unique giftedness, love for evangelism, his unrelenting and effective activity in sharing the Gospel himself, his drive into and throughout 70’s, and the moving story of his own salvation experience as a successful executive who came to know Jesus through the tragic sudden death of his son.

Do you shop on Amazon? Maybe for Christmas, birthdays or even things for yourself. You can support SOS Events without cost to you. Amazon donates a small portion of your purchase to non profit organizations. To designate SOS Events, go to Amazon Smile. Then choose Event Evangelism, Inc (our legal name). Make sure all your purchases are on the Smile page and that’s it. SOS Events will receive the funds a few times a year. Also, a reminder, another way to give as the end of the year is fast approaching and if you would like a tax deduction for donations, SOS Events would use your gift for soul winning. Opportunities

Tampa Bay Give Day Event 2018  

The Lord has given SOS Events Ministry (Event Evangelism, Inc) the opportunity to participate in the Tampa Bay Give Day event to bring awareness to the ministry. This event benefits non-profits not only for donations but for volunteers. We so appreciate the opportunity to bring awareness to God’s ministry. The culmination of this event is Tuesday, May 1st with a possible segment on a Tampa Bay local TV station.

Your prayers are appreciated in this first time endeavor to make know God’s work in this venue. During the event we not only shared information about the ministry but were given the opportunity to witness.

Servanthood

Yesterday at the ministry, the SOS Events Senior Servant ladies once again met to stuff, label and seal the newsletters. Praise the Lord for their faithfulness, cheerful heart and gracious spirit.

Time is Short

October 19, 2016

October is one of the busiest months of the year for SOS Events ministry. Fall Festivals, Halloween, NASCAR race plus the regular monthly events. Our staff and volunteers would appreciate prayer for travel, good health, unction, and wisdom as the devil would love to prevent us from witnessing and winning souls. The next two weeks are filled with events.

Time is short and we feel an urgency to work to win as many souls as possible to the Lord. SOS Events has passed 1000 recorded decisions for 2016. God has blessed and will continue to do so with the prayers, financial support and encouragement from Christians who have a desire to see souls saved. You can be included in the blessings. Pray what God would have you do to help SOS Events finish this year with great success.

SOS Events Supporters

Thank you who give to SOS Events Ministry. Founded in 2001 this ministry has documented over 50,000 souls who have made decisions to follow Jesus. There are some of you who have prayed, volunteered and given financially since the very beginning. Others are new supporters.

Contributions come in snail mail with checks or even cash and there are those people who prefer to give through PayPal. The amount varies from one time large gifts to the little ladies who may send a dollar or two each month. Every donation is appreciated and used to win souls to Christ.

The only paid positions in SOS Events are the small office staff. All others from the President of the ministry to volunteers who spend their own money many times for travel and even cost of events receive nothing from SOS Events except prayer and appreciation. There are a few missionaries who receive designated support and every penny goes directly to them.

Some of you who read this blog may be “turned off” by the subject of money but it does take money to function and win souls in today’s economy. If you have never given to SOS Events but would like to give, every donation large or small is appreciated and will be used to win people to the Lord. If you cannot give financially you can do something even more needed. Pray everyday for the staff, volunteers and most of all for lost souls to be saved.

Blessings and Needs

SOS Events most busy time of year has begun. Most weekends from now to Thanksgiving has several events, many on the same day. Tomorrow, Saturday there are 3 events, a car show in Plant City, Fl, a country fair in Landsdale, PA and a training by the team in Alabama. Then on Sunday the team from Lakeland, Fl holds a training in a local church.

Please pray with SOS for many souls to be saved and new workers to be trained. Also, the home office staff in Dover, Fl appreciates prayer. As the ministry grows the administration duties become greater. Also, needs of the ministry grows as there is a bigger need for financial donations to enable SOS to supply all the materials to hold successful events. Cost of tracts, Bibles, displays and printed materials increase with the growth. God does supply those needs through faithful Christians who give with a joyful heart. Father and Sons Saved on Father’s Day

The Lord Jesus saved 7 precious souls Father’s Day @ the Auburndale, FL. Farmers/Flea Mkt. for His glory!!.
We saw the Lord save the souls of a Dad & his two sons. The dad had just spent 6 years in prison. Now he is free from prison and today, Jesus has set him free from the penalty of sin! We also saw the Lord save a grandfather who was spending time with his grandson this Father’s Day. Special days & holidays are great times to see the Lord reap a harvest of souls. We love this mission field!!
