Something Special About Old Hymns!

June 7, 2022

There is something special about old hymns. This one has the whole gospel in one song. Jesus died, was buried, rose again and will return. He did that all for you and me.

One day when heaven was filled with His praises,
One day when sin was as black as could be,
Jesus came forth to be born of a virgin—
Dwelt among men, my example is He! Living, He loved me; dying, He saved me;

Buried, He carried my sins far away;
Rising, He justified freely forever:
One day He’s coming—O glorious day!

One day they led Him up Calvary’s mountain,
One day they nailed Him to die on the tree;
Suffering anguish, despised and rejected;
Bearing our sins, my Redeemer is He.

One day they left Him alone in the garden,
One day He rested, from suffering free;
Angels came down o’er His tomb to keep vigil;
Hope of the hopeless, my Savior is He.

One day the grave could conceal Him no longer,
One day the stone rolled away from the door;
Then He arose, over death He had conquered;
Now is ascended, my Lord evermore.

One day the trumpet will sound for His coming,
One day the skies with His glory will shine;
Wonderful day, my beloved ones bringing;
Glorious Savior, this Jesus is mine!

We are free from sin, justified and we will be with Him and our loved ones again! Glorious Day!

Wonderful Opportunities

May 31, 2022

In the past few months, Carolyn Curtis, cofounder of SOS Events Ministry has had many opportunities to speak at churches, organizations and to individuals giving her testimony and telling others how they can witness to people using the “3 Things God Can Not Do”.

God has blessed with new volunteers, new supporters and more importantly people learning how to witness. All the praise belongs to the Lord for these opportunities.

I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make her boast in the Lord: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad. O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together. Psalms 34:1-3

What To Do When You Can’t Pray

May 13, 2022

Sometimes we are in a place where we can not pray. We may be ill depressed or discouraged. Maybe we are in the middle of something that is sinful. God knows all of our problems and He is waiting for us to pray.

Be honest with God. He has the answer. Tell Him that you do not feel like praying and ask the Holy Spirit to pray for you. The Bible tells us that Jesus is making intercession for us. We can’t hide our thoughts from God.

But, thank Him for loving you and understanding. God wants our praise even when we are unable to pray.

Soon the time of prayer will return and our relationship with God will be even better.

What’s Your Weather Like Today?

April 23, 2022

Whatever your weather is where you are, stormy, cold, hot, or beautiful, one thing we need to do is praise the Lord.

God is with you today. It may not be physical weather outside that concerns you, it may be a situation or turmoil within. Whatever you need, God is with you to bring into your life sunny weather.

Praise Him as if the day is sunny already and He will give you peace and joy!
