Have you ever done something or said something you are truly sorry for? Maybe you hurt someone you love and need to ask forgiveness, but do not want to open that wound again.
The Bible clearly states we need to forgive one another. In fact if a brother (another Christian) has hurt you, you are to go to them and ask their forgiveness.
Somehow in our human minds that seems unfair, but think about our relationship to God. We have hurt Him many times, before salvation and especially after we have been saved. Disobedience, apathy and many other things too numerous to mention, and yet He in His love for us has forgiven us for ALL our sins. Let us show our love to Him by forgiving one another.
Mark 11:25 And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses
Many people will be celebrating New Year’s Eve tonight drinking, going to parties, etc., only to start the New Year with a headache and hangover. We can start our New Year with a clean heart.
Christians take time this evening to pray for forgiveness for the unconfessed sins that we have committed. If you have never accepted Jesus as your Savior there is no better way to start a new year than becoming a new person in Christ. Happy New Year. May 2023 bring you and your loved ones peace and joy that only the Lord can give.
2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
Jesus forgives all our sins when we accept His death, burial and resurrection as payment for our sins.
The most amazing thing is that He forgives ALL those sins. Past, present and future sin, FORGIVEN.
How many times do we commit the same sin over and over. Jesus in His mercy has forgiven them. Then He helps us overcome that sin, if we ask Him for help.
We can be eternally thankful for God’s forgiveness.
The Fourth of July celebration is over for this year. Many people will go back now to the same old routine, forgetting why they even celebrate it in the first place. Forgetting that we celebrated freedom and our wonderful USA.
Some people do that after they’ve accepted Jesus as their Savior. They go back to the same old routine, forgetting that they are now a child of God.
If you are someone who has forgotten that you have been forgiven, that you are a new creation in Jesus, and that your life needs to change.
Go back to the foot of the cross. Ask Jesus to forgive you for forgetting his great love and ask him to help you make a change in your life. He is waiting for you!
Jesus has a busy day after His triumphant entry into Jerusalem. He went into the temple and cast out the money changers and merchants, who had turned the place of worship into a marketplace.
Then He was walking with His disciples and saw a fig tree with no figs. He then made the fig tree wither so it never again would bear fruit.
Do we ever do anything in our lives to cause Jesus to be displeased with us? Christian, think about it. Jesus loves us and our salvation is secure if we have accepted Him as our Savior, however, we can do things in our lives that may cause Jesus displeasure. Today, let us confess our sins. He is faithful and just to forgive our sin and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9
Si confesamos nuestros pecados, él es fiel y justo para perdonar nuestros pecados, y limpiarnos de toda maldad. 1 Juan 1:9
It wasn’t until about the nineteenth century that we find Christianity absorbing the bright, cheery symbolism of the Christmas tree. The Christians had long held the fir as a symbol of the Tree of Life.
Early Christians knew their symbolism well, as they added candles and apples to their Christmas firs. These candles represented the light of Christ. The apples symbolized knowledge which spawned man’s original sin according to Christian belief.
Here we see the light of Christ forgiving the “fall of man” within the symbol of the Christmas tree.
Revelation 22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
As Christians we need to have compassion for one another. To our fellow Christians and also to the unsaved.
We will never win the lost by being unkind, rude or unforgiving to them or to our brothers and sisters in Christ.
Others are watching our actions, our speech and even our tone of voice. Courtesy and love to our spouses, children and others is the key to the peace and joy in our homes, workplace and family gatherings.
The unsaved that are watching will then want what we have and we can share the love of Jesus and His forgiveness.
If you are not 100% sure you are forgiven for your sins, this is God’s plan for you. God loves you and has provided a way for you to be forgiven.
Jesus is the answer. He died on the cross, was buried and three days later arose from the grave. He paid the penalty for all your sins.
Invite Jesus to be your Savior, today. Simply ask Him to save you.
Lord Jesus, I admit I am a sinner. I believe You died on the cross for forgiveness of my sins. I ask that You forgive my sins, come into my heart and make my life new. I receive You as my Savior. Thank you Jesus. Amen
