The American flag and the eagle, symbols of freedom for those of us who live in the USA. Freedom is something we are thankful for, however, there are many people from other countries who do not have the liberty we have. Freedom to worship and serve God without fear. For those people there is good news. Jesus gives us freedom within. If we have Jesus we are free, no matter where we are or what the circumstances.
John 8:36 If the Son (Jesus) therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
Psalms 122:1 A Song of degrees of David. I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the Lord.
It is rare that no events are scheduled for SOS Events Ministry on a Saturday. Moving toward the end of September and there is a quiet time, but the busiest time of the year is in October and every person who has been trained to witness at events is needed. Your team leader needs to have you say YES when you are asked to volunteer at an event. Let us be faithful laborers and have hundreds of souls saved in the next 6 weeks.
Those of us who live in America are blessed. We have freedom and liberty to worship as we please along with many other blessings guaranteed by our Constitution. However, not everyone in the USA feels free because they are bound by guilt and sin. The good news is that no matter where we live in the world we can have true freedom and liberty through Jesus Christ. Peace and freedom comes from Him and dwells within our heart.
Galatians 5:1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

“I’m going to vent here…Most of my friends on Facebook know my religion. They may not know that my goal in life is to take upon me HIS name and always remember Him and keep His commandments. It makes me happy and brings me peace and joy. That is why this bothers me…..
On the “Today Show”, one of the wives of one of the Navy Seals killed along with the US ambassador in Libya. He asked what she would say to her children about their dad and how she would want them to remember him. Her answer, and I quote, “His love for Christ”, and then continued on with a few other things. Throughout the day and on MSN homepage, replaying the story, they have edited the “Love of Christ” part out. Why? Because using the word Christ might offend someone! Well, I am a Christian and I am offended! I’m offended that they would edit it out. Offended that we as Christians are asked to tread lightly so as not to offend someone of another religion. This man loved his country and loved his God and gave his life for both, just as Christ gave His life for him.
This Founding Principle is actually embedded in our Declaration of Independence: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”

Want wisdom? The Bible says we can have wisdom in several places. Job, Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes and many in the New Testament, but this verse says we ARE wise if we win souls. SOS Events Ministry is coming into the busiest time of the year. Fall Festivals, Races, Fairs and many other events take place between now and the middle of November. Soul winning volunteers are desperately needed in all areas. If you have been a volunteer in the past but have not participated in awhile please say yes when you are contacted to work an event. Have you ever been waiting for an important letter or package to come and it seems like forever? It may be from a friend that you haven’t seen in a long time, or the passport or official document you need before you upcoming trip, or that special outfit for a special occasion. You check the mailbox everyday without anything except useless ads. Finally it’s here. What joy and relief. It was worth the wait. God tells us to wait on Him for things we need and ask Him in prayer. Waiting is hard but God’s timing is always perfect.
Psalms 27:14 Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.
