Carolyn Curtis, SOS Events cofounder, was asked a question by a funeral director. The conversation went like this:
Directory: “People have told me when at the funeral home that they will never die. What did they mean? I do not understand that. That is better than a lottery ticket.”
Carolyn: “They are probably born again Christians. What they mean is their bodies die but their spirit does not. We all never die spiritually, we will live forever but where we spend eternity depends on what we do with the Lord Jesus now.”
Carolyn then gave him a gospel tract and will be praying for his salvation.
Matthew 25:46 – And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

An opportunity to introduce neighbors and people to your church is to have an event on the church property. SOS Events loves churchyard events. This past weekend in Lakeland, FL a Block Party was held. Everyone had a wonderful time with food, fun and fellowship, but the best part of the day was when 5 people trusted Jesus as their Savior at the SOS Events booth. Randy Thomas is the Pastor and is also a missionary with SOS Events ministry and God is blessing this growing church.
Acts 2:47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

Some people love Mondays because they have a job they enjoy, or they have made special plans for the week ahead. Others dread Monday. School, work or other responsibilities seem to be overwhelming. The Bible tells us to rejoice and be glad. That is a choice. We can choose to be miserable or we can decide to rejoice in the Lord no matter what thee circumstances. what is your choice?

Love that SOS ministries isn’t in the business of “just making converts” but that their hearts and ministry is to Share the Good News of Jesus Christ with whosoever God leads to them through the Holy Spirit and then follows up with those making decisions both through the local church body, national organization of SOS (prayer and age appropriate Bible studies) and discipleship/mentorship through plugging them into volunteering through the ministry. It’s the complete package: Salvation, Discipleship, Service, Duplication! Conversion and Discipleship are each a side of the same coin. But you can’t have discipleship without conversion first! (Written by Patty Mills)

SOS Events Ministry is coming into the busiest time of the year. Fall Festivals, Races, Fairs and many other events take place between now and the middle of November. Soul winning volunteers are desperately needed in all areas. If you have been a volunteer in the past but have not participated in awhile please say yes when you are contacted to work an event. You may be someone who would like to win people to the Lord at events. God is calling you. Contact the home office at 813-494-7512.
