Zack Godwin, SOS Events Leader on the Alabama team went home to be with the Lord on Monday evening.
He was a wonderful husband, father and friend. Zack will be missed by all who knew him. His family will appreciate prayers at this time.
The one thing we can be sure of is that we will see him again. Jesus gave us the assurance of eternal life through his death on the cross. One day we will be reunited with our loved ones who have trusted Jesus as their Savior.
John 11:25 – Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:
Really! Do we as born again Christians really believe that if we die we have gained?
Many people have died for their faith. The disciples, martyrs, missionaries and ordinary people who loved Jesus enough to stand for Him even in the face of terrible deaths.
We Christians, especially in America and the Nations in the free world are soft, lazy and contented to live out our lives in comfort.
What if persecution should come. Are we ready? We need to re-examine our faith. To die IS GAIN. We are going to meet our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ!
The only way to have eternal life is through Jesus. If you do not know for sure you will spend eternity with Him, ask Jesus to forgive your sins, come into your heart and accept Jesus as your Savior.
Carolyn Curtis, SOS Events cofounder, was asked a question by a funeral director. The conversation went like this:
Directory: “People have told me when at the funeral home that they will never die. What did they mean? I do not understand that. That is better than a lottery ticket.”
Carolyn: “They are probably born again Christians. What they mean is their bodies die but their spirit does not. We all never die spiritually, we will live forever but where we spend eternity depends on what we do with the Lord Jesus now.”
Carolyn then gave him a gospel tract and will be praying for his salvation.
Matthew 25:46 – And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.
Shirley Black went home to be with the Lord on November 4th. She and her husband Doug were SOS Events Leaders in Florida and in New York. Her desire was to serve the Lord everywhere she went. Today her husband and family need your prayers as her funeral will be held in New York. She will be greatly missed.
Psalm 116:15 Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.
Mark 16:6 And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him.
Nancy McLean went home to be with her Lord yesterday November, 22. She was a member of SOS Events Senior Servants for many years. She rarely missed a meeting and was always willing to drive others to come and work getting out the Life Saver News. SOS Events Ministry was one of the many ways she served the Lord and she always told others of what a great way to spread the Gospel. A wonderful witness for the Lord at events and personally. Nancy handed out “3 Things God Can Not Do” tract wherever and whenever she could. Nancy was a wonderful Christian and great friend. She will be missed.

Matthew 25:23 His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
