We have joy when our adult children take time out of their busy schedule to stop over or call. Their fellowship is precious. Our Heavenly Father wants the same thing from us, His children. God wants to hear from us everyday. He loves to hear about out joys and also our troubles and sorrows. The wonderful thing about Him is He is always with us just waiting to hear and answer our prayers. If you have not talked to Him in awhile stop and pray right now. Fellowship with Him is the most precious blessing.
Jeremiah 33:3 Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.

Today, the day before we celebrate our freedom, let us take a few minutes to pray for America.

2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

“Any man can be a Father but it takes someone special to be a dad.”
Tomorrow is Father’s Day in the USA. A day when we honor our fathers. To some the day is a happy occasion. New fathers look at their babies and have joy in their new child. Some people are sadden on the day because their father has passed away or has abandoned the family. A day of mixed emotions. To the Christian, we know we have a Heavenly Father who loves us, and is always there, just a prayer away. We can call Him, Abba Father, which is translated “Daddy” in the English language.
Galatians 4:6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

SOS Events Ministry owns a van that is used to transport things needed for events and to pick up materials and supplies. It runs very well if it is used often and is kept well maintained. However, sometimes it will not be used for several months and the battery runs down. Then it will not run until we recharge the battery. Christian life is exactly like that. If we do not maintain our hearts and minds in good spiritual condition we will run down and we can not be effective for the Lord. Our “batteries” need recharging daily by reading our Bible, prayer and seeking God’s will and blessing each day.
2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

Are you hurting from problems, physical, financial or spiritual? Do not be discouraged, look to the One who can bring comfort to you, the Lord Jesus. Also, seek help from others. Physical, God gave us doctors and medicine to help us with our health problems. Financial, there are many good godly programs available to help you get out of debt. Spiritual, read your Bible daily and talk to a Pastor or Councilor who can help you have victory over the problem.
1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

Today when we want to communicate via phone we have freedom to talk (or text) anywhere, anytime without having to be in one place to use the phone as this child in the picture. Prayer is like that. We do not have to be in a specific place only able to speak to God in church or at a designated time of day. God is always ready to hear our prayers directly without any person, place or thing. Jesus is the reason we have a direct line to God.
Luke 11:2 And (Jesus) he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven,

I Timothy 1-2 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

One of SOS Events charter members of our Senior Servants needs prayer. Joy, a perfect name for this season, is in the hospital and needs our prayers. She has worked with SOS Events for many years and learned how to win souls at the Strawberry Festival.
Several years ago, Tom Curtis was introducing Joy to someone at church, telling them how she won her first soul to the Lord and Joy spoke up and said, “Three, Tom, I led three to the Lord.”
Please pray for her today as she needs to be healed.
James 5:16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
