God loves us so much that even when we are not looking for Him, He draws us to Him.

February 10, 2018In February we see advertisements on TV, in stores and everywhere featuring hearts and flowers and talk about love and Valentines. It is a great time for the card companies, florists and candy companies. Restaurants will have overflow crowds on February 14th. Many people confuse romance with true love. True love is caring for someone so much that you would be willing to give your life for that person. That is the love that Jesus had for us when He died on the cross to save us.
John 15:13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

Love One Another
November 27, 2017While many of us are preparing for a joyous Christmas Season, there are also many around us who are really hurting. For some it may be Christmas without someone they love who has died, for others it may be illness of a spouse or child that may end in death and then there are those people who are ill themselves or are lonely because they have no family or close friends. We need to look around and have compassion on those hurting people. A phone call, text message, card, visit or invitation to share your festivities may be just the thing that will help them get through the holiday season. And always keep them in your prayers. As Christians we need to love one another as Jesus commanded.
John 15:12 This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.

God Cares
September 7, 2017Sometimes in life when we think there is only sorrow or trials, we think God has forsaken us. Then He gives us a blessing to show us that He cares and loves us. When going through the darkest trial look for the blessing. It may be something very small, like a phone call or text message from family or friend. It may be something big like a rainbow after the storm, but God is there and we need to lean on Him for peace and comfort.
1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
