Have you ever wondered what SOS Events Ministry is all about?
Missionary Charles Stone gives a brief overview of SOS Events Ministry and our desire to reach people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Through fairs, festivals, car shows, and other community events, SOS provides opportunities for Christians to share the Gospel and make an eternal difference in the lives of others.
We invite you to watch this video, learn more about the ministry, and consider how you or your church might become involved!

What a blessing to see God opening new doors for SOS Events!
Last week, Scott Dabill and a pastor friend visited the University at Buffalo in New York to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with college students.
They had wonderful opportunities to talk with young people about salvation, and two students accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior! Praise the Lord!
We are so thankful for this new opportunity to reach college students with the Gospel. What a wonderful time in their lives to come to know Jesus and begin walking with Him!
Scott and his pastor friend are excited about this ministry and plan to return to the university each week to continue witnessing and sharing God’s love.
Please pray for these two new Christians as they grow in their faith. Also, pray that God will continue to open hearts and give Scott and his friend many more opportunities to lead young people to Christ.
To God be the glory for two precious souls saved and another open door for SOS Events!
Romans 10:17 (KJV)
“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
Several SOS Events venues have been canceled or postponed this weekend because of a hurricane affecting Alabama and Tennessee. Florida has also experienced days of heavy rain.
Please pray for the safety of all our volunteers and their families in the path of the storm. Remember those traveling, and everyone whose community may be affected.
It is disappointing when events are canceled or postponed, especially when our teams have prepared for opportunities to share the Gospel. Yet we have no control over the weather, and we can trust God with these changes.
God can still bring blessings in the midst of disappointment. Please pray that postponed events can be rescheduled and that the Lord will open other doors for us to tell people about Jesus. He is our refuge and strength—in every storm.
Fall events have officially begun for SOS Events Ministry in Alabama.
Last Saturday we had 2 teams ministering in separate locations and God was lifted up and Glorified with 12 precious people that surrendered their lives to Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
One young man came back to learn more about his walk with Jesus and received assurance of his salvation, all will be followed up with prayer and Bible studies.
We also would like to thank the Dadeville Fall Festival (5 decisions) and Santuck Flea Market (7 salvations) for always going above and beyond to make sure we are able to be a part of these amazing events. To God be the Glory for the Wonderful things He has done.
“Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.” Matthew 9:38 KJV
Today’s blog is a little different—we would like to invite you to a special fundraiser for SOS Events!
Join us on November 2, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., at Culver’s in Zephyrhills, Florida. During those hours, Culver’s will donate a portion of all purchases to SOS Events ministry. Whether you dine in, use the drive-through, or purchase gift certificates, you can help support the work of sharing the Gospel.
If you live in the area, bring your family and enjoy a meal—or simply stop by for ice cream! You will also have the opportunity to meet some of our SOS Events staff, who will be helping serve in the restaurant that evening.
“By love serve one another.” —Galatians 5:13, KJV
We are thankful to Culver’s for this opportunity and to everyone who participates. Come enjoy food and fellowship while helping SOS Events reach others with the good news of Jesus Christ!
Praise the Lord for three people who trusted Jesus as their Savior on Saturday at the Rod Run at Dover First Baptist Church in Dover, Florida!
We are so thankful for the faithful drivers who take our classy Corvair to car shows here in Florida. We also thank the volunteers who give their time and talents to serve at these events and share the Gospel.
Most of all, we thank the Lord for giving SOS Events the opportunity to tell others about Jesus. What a joy it is to see people come to know Him as their Savior!
Please continue to pray for all the October events, both here in Florida and throughout the USA. Pray for our teams, for more volunteers, and especially for many more people to trust Jesus as their Savior.
This weekend, SOS Events volunteers will be sharing the Gospel at a car show in Florida, a flea market in Alabama, and other events throughout the United States.
Please pray for our teams as they tell others about Jesus. Pray for strength, clear opportunities to witness, and hearts ready to receive the Gospel. More volunteers are needed, so ask the Lord to send faithful workers to join this ministry.
Most of all, please pray that many people will trust Jesus Christ as their Savior. Every person who comes to an event is someone God loves and someone who needs Him.
“Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.”
We are so thankful for a wonderful group of senior ladies who come to the SOS Events office on the first Thursday of every month to help put together our Life-Saving News newsletter.
This ministry began about 20 years ago with just three ladies. They were widows who loved the Lord and wanted to continue serving Him, even though physical limitations made it difficult for them to get out and do some of the things they had done before.
They found something they could do—and they did it faithfully!
Through the years, that little group has grown into a wonderful gathering of women who come each month to work on the newsletter, enjoy good food and fellowship, and serve the Lord together.
What a blessing and encouragement these ladies are to SOS Events! They remind us that there is no retirement from serving the Lord. Whatever our age or physical ability, God can still use willing hands and a willing heart.
“Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.”— 1 Corinthians 15:58 KJV
We thank the Lord for these faithful ladies and for the many years they have helped make Life-Saving News possible. May God continue to bless their labor, their fellowship, and their faithfulness to Him.
Today is the last day of September, and tomorrow begins October—the busiest month of the year for SOS Events.
What a wonderful opportunity we have in the weeks ahead to be fishers of men, women, and children! At fairs, festivals, car shows, flea markets, and other events, thousands of people will pass by our SOS Events booths. Each one is a precious soul who needs to know that Jesus loves them and that salvation is available through Him.
It is a privilege to be a volunteer with SOS Events. You do not have to be an experienced soul winner. If you have a desire to serve the Lord and tell others about Jesus, we will train you, work alongside you, and help you every step of the way.
There is no greater joy than having the opportunity to lead someone to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
October is almost here. The fields are ready, and we need willing workers.
Would you like to become a fisher of men? Come and join
This past weekend marked the final car show of the season in Perrysburg, Ohio, and we have so much to thank the Lord for!
We are especially thankful for our faithful SOS Events team, Ed and Rhonda Fager and their son, Nathan. At this final event, God blessed their efforts with two more people trusting Jesus Christ as their Savior, bringing the grand total for the 2026 season to 155 salvations at this car show!
What a wonderful testimony of what God can do through people who are willing to faithfully serve Him. We are thankful for every volunteer who has prayed, witnessed, and given of their time throughout this season.
May God richly bless Ed, Rhonda, Nathan, and all the faithful volunteers, and may He give them many more years to serve the Lord through SOS Events.
