April 22, 2016The Bible says that children are a heritage from the Lord. We have been blessed with some wonderful children. So today I am thanking the Lord for the wonderful family he has given and I trust that you will be praising the Lord for your family also. If you have a son or daughter and grandchildren also, take time today to tell them you love them, give them a call if they live far away, or the best thing you can possibly do is keep them always in your prayers.
Psalms 127:3 Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.
Love Thy Neighbor

We’ve lost our love for neighbor.Today our world is divided along political, racial, economic lines. Every day we are tempted by the ease of social media, by the tribalization of our politics, and by racial and economic differences. We’ve lost the art of loving people with whom we disagree. Just check your Facebook timeline. Consider the harsh and often vulgar language often used, by professing Christians, to describe politicians they don’t agree with, people groups they are afraid of, and religions they don’t agree with.
You will not share the good news of the gospel with someone you do not genuinely love. We need to teach people to love their neighbors and not just the neighbors that look like them. This means we need to teach our people what the gospel is doing in uniting people from every race, tribe, and tongue in the Church. In America, this means God is helping us obey the Great Commission by bringing the nations to our doorstep.
This means our people need to stop seeing missions as something we only do when we write checks to support missionaries. Every follower of Christ is on mission in his own community.
SOS Events ministry teaches how to evangelize and win souls using the simple plan of salvation “3 Things God Can Not Do”. It is nor offensive to anyone and with love you can be successful to your friends and neighbors.

One Little Word
January 25, 2016Have you ever taken one word and studied every verse in the Bible about that word? Love is a good example. In the KJV version there are over 280 verses on the word love not includining suffixes. We learn so much about God and our relationship to Him just from that one little word.
A few examples:
1 John 4:7 & 8 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
Ephesians 5:2 And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.
1 Corinthians 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
Politics
January 18, 2016As a citizen of the USA we have a responsibility to be informed about the issues the people running for president and other offices in our government. As a Christian we have the responsibility to love one another.
Having watched all the current debates both Democratic and Republican I see that the candidates have many different opinions on how they are going to run the country if they are elected.
Christians also have many different opinions on who should be the next president. Sometimes our opinions are voiced in heated discussions and even arguments. We must be careful not to offend a Christian brother or sister because it can cause unrepairable damage in our homes, churches and friendships. It is better to agree to disagree than to fight among ourselves.
Keep informed, pray for our government and leaders and get out and vote. The most important thing is to love one another. Remember God is still on the throne. He is King of kings and Lord of lords. Let us not let politics separate the love we have for one another.
John 13:34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
Reflection & Future
January 12, 2016Our 15 years of marriage has been special with trials and learning experiences for Carolyn & I. God allows trails to increase our faith. We look back and can see what GOD has done. Carolyn loves me & I love her and GOD loves us, nothing can stop GOD as He leads, guides and directs us and the Ministry. We both enjoy all God has provided.
The ministry has brought love joy & peace to many including Carolyn & myself. Pray that SOS Events ministry will grow in 2016 so we can reach thousands more of hurting people who do not know Jesus Christ.
We need motivated people who have GREAT faith. Let us pray Christ will remove evil from, GOVERNMENT,SCHOOLS, BUSINESS & HOMES. Motivation is how it starts you must be a Christian & the Spirit must live in you. Would you work with us Personally or support the ministry financially? Praise the Lord
January 5, 2016Today is a special day for Tom and Carolyn Curtis. It is our 15th Wedding Anniversary. You may not think that is so great but it is really a miracle. Both of us were traveling alone after the loss of our spouses, working for the Lord in different ministries when we met. Tom went to Iowa and I traveled the East coast for a year after we met. Then we worked in a ministry together in Florida for a short time. I had been praying for Tom and about the relationship for the whole year. (Tom had no clue.)
When we married Tom had many health problems and had been told by doctors that he had only 3 years to live. That was back in 1995. He was reluctant to marry in 2001 but God directed him and we have been blessed with a wonderful marriage.
God then led us to begin SOS Events Ministry and in 15 years hundreds of Christians have been trained to serve the Lord, over 60,000 souls have made decisions for Christ and at least 2 other ministries have been started with the training of SOS.
God took two ordinary people and for 15 years has blessed us with a good marriage and a great ministry. So today we Praise the Lord for the blessings He has given and I still believe in miracles.
Psalms 9:1 I will praise thee, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvellous works.
