Birthday Wishes

June 1, 2019

Today is SOS Events cofounder, Carolyn Curtis, 81st birthday. You can help her celebrate not with gifts but take a moment to pray for her. Wisdom, good health and strength are her personal needs, but her desire is to see SOS Events Ministry grow with more soul winners, more salvations and in territory. Also, that God will provide someone with a heart for souls and SOS Events Ministry when it is time for her to retire or go “home” to meet the Lord. She is thankful for her 2nd birthday. The day she accepted Jesus as her Savior over 60 years ago.

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Remember

May 26, 2019

Memorial Day weekend we honor our brave military veterans and active men and women who serve our Country to keep us free. But today, the Lord’s day, let us remember Jesus death, burial and resurrection. We have freedom of eternal life because of Him. We have victory over death which is ultimate freedom.

Going Home

May 13, 2019

Going home. Vacation over. Time to go home. Sadness because it is over, but joy at the thought of seeing loved ones and getting to our comfortable home. The plane will get us there in just a few hours and there may be delays. Reminds me of our life. We live and then it is time to go “home” to Heaven. Looking back we don’t want to leave but looking forward to seeing Jesus and the ones we love who have gone on before. Jesus will usher us in in immediately after our last breath.

1 Thessalonians 4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

Be Ready

May 10, 2019

One woman and her husband accepted the Lord as their Savior. Before they left the booth, she told the soul winner that when she walked into the building she knew something good was going to happen, she could feel it. Then she gave the soul winner a hug.

The Holy Spirit will prepare a person’s heart to accept Him but if the soul winner isn’t prepared or willing to share then that person will either not accept the Lord that day or the Lord will find someone else that can share the good news with them.

Why not let that person be you, the one that shares?

2 Timothy 4:2 (KJV) says, Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.

Enlarge My Territory

May 8, 2019

I Chronicles 4:10 says, And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.

When you take a look at this passage and get to know Jabez you can understand why he is asking God for these four requests. You understand why God granted his requests.

Let’s look at one of the requests regarding enlarging his coast. This increase can be in his territory for business growth, influence in the community, increase in resources and an increase in his love for God.

Here at SOS Events Ministry, the Lord has been blessing with enlarged territories in the areas of more people being trained to share the simple plan of salvation, more souls saved, increased places whereby getting the Word of God out. For instance, in the past 2 months we had a team go to Belize to witness and saw 80 people trust the Lord, increased training in New York, new churches scheduling presentations and getting active in sharing God’s love to the community, and soul winning events in several states.

The Lord wants to grant the requests of His children when they are sincere about serving Him. Jabez was sincere. SOS Events is sincere. We pray you are sincere in serving the Lord at your local church and in the community where you live.  If we can help train and bring a fresh way of sharing God’s love to your community, please contact us via office phone 813-494-7512. God bless.

Repentance

May 7, 2019

Have you truly repented and invited Jesus to be your Savior and take away all your sin?

God’s Wonderful Creation

May 4, 2019

While flying over most of the USA from Florida to Washington State, the view out the window was breathtaking. Especially when going over the snow covered Rocky Mountains. From the tropical climate to the mountains covered with snow, it was evident that God created so many diverse beautiful places.

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.Genesis 1:1

Denial of Peter

April 17, 2019

What do you think of when you think of Simon Peter? Some of us think of him as he denied Jesus 3 times.

People could tell that he had been with Jesus, but he repeatedly said that he did not know Jesus. When the rooster crowed he remembered what Jesus had told him. “Verily I say unto thee, That this night, before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice.”

He went out and wept bitterly.

Do we deny Jesus? No, we think not, but someone is sitting beside us while we wait for an appointment. Did we witness to them? A person comes up and asked us for money or directions. We help them but did we tell them about Jesus? We go on a “mission trip”, build a house or feed the poor, but we do not try to win them to Christ.

Do we deny Jesus? You decide. Peter became a great witness and soul winner after Jesus forgave him. Let us follow Peter and feed people spiritually with the gospel.

John 21:17 He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.

Judas Iscariot

April 16, 2019

He walked with Jesus. He saw the miracles. He was trusted enough to handle the money. Others did not see him as evil. JUDAS. A name that even today we think of betrayal. Greed, for 30 pieces of silver he was willing to betray the ONE who loved him.

We wonder how he could do such a horrible thing and yet, do we betray Jesus with our attitude, our indifference or our sin? When Jesus told the disciples that one would betray Him, each one asked, “Is it I?”

Let us ask ourselves, do I betray my Savior, Jesus, in any way? If so let us ask His forgiveness had love Him as He loved us.

Matthew 26:25

Then Judas, which betrayed him, answered and said, Master, is it I? He said unto him, Thou hast said.
