Christian fellowship often centers around food. Food is served at all kinds of events. In America we are blessed to have abundance and variety of whatever we choose to eat.
With that great blessing also comes responsibility to eat correctly. Diet plans are popular and also are available everywhere we look. We could and should be satisfied to have just a small taste of food that would not be good for our health. It is the temptation to over indulge because something looks good and tastes good, then we continue to eat it knowing it is not good for us. But there is something we can have that is extremely good for us and the more we indulge the better we are.
The Bible tells us to taste and see in Psalms. We can be blessed if we follow that advice. Trusting in The Lord Jesus is the best diet. Reading His Word daily, praying and following Him will bring blessings that no physical diet can ever bring in our lives.
Psalms 34:8 O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.

When asked what happened at an event, sometimes a SOS Events volunteer will say, “We planted seed today.” What do they mean? No one received Jesus as their Savior that day.
Disappointed? Yes, but we have to remember that seeds that are planted grow. We do not know what that tract or our testimony will do in the heart of an unbeliever. The Word of God is the seed and it will not return void. Some plant, some water but God gives the increase, in His timing. So do not be discouraged, if the person does not accept the Lord right then, keep planting seeds and let them grow.
1 Peter 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

Every time our phone rings it gives us an opportunity to witness or encourage someone. We get calls that are very pleasant, from family or friends. We can use these calls to encourage and pray for each other. It’s a great way to stay in touch with loved ones far away.
We also get calls that are extremely annoying, like a solicitor trying to get us to donate or buy something we don’t want or need. Our first reaction is to hang up..but wait. It may be an opportunity to witness to that person. They may listen or they will hang up on us. Then we have accomplished something. A seed planted or we have gotten rid of an annoying call. Let’s use every opportunity that God gives us to bring honor to Him.
Galatians 6:10 As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.

Randy, William (photo) and Alice faithfully go every Wednesday to the Flea Market where God blesses with many people accepting Jesus as their Savior. A great example of God’s blessing was this past Wednesday when 7 people were saved. SOS Events Ministry needs more faithful workers, not only in Florida but throughout the USA and beyond. What would God have you do to help? Ask Him.
Luke 10:2 Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.

A Shocking 47% Of Millennials Say Evangelism Is Wrong. Relevant Magazine
“Almost half of Millennials (47%) agree at least somewhat that it is wrong to share one’s personal beliefs with someone of a different faith in hopes that they will one day share the same faith.”
The article said they believe in Jesus, but do not think we should share the Gospel with others. Christians, we must reach not only the lost millennials (ages 18-35), but we must teach our Christian young people that the Jesus they follow commanded us to spread the gospel. A whole generation and generations to follow will be lost if we do not do more to reach them.
Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

America was founded by men who loved God and believed in Jesus and that we should have freedom OF religion, not freedom FROM religion. They also believed that the Bible, God’s Word, should be taught in schools, churches and at home. What a long way America has come since then. When prayer and the Bible was taken out of the schools and public gatherings the great moral decline of the USA began. Christians did not stand up and protest enough. Materialism and complacency took over for many Christians. Is it too late? That is up to us.
2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
