Praise the Lord for 3 souls that were saved this past weekend in upstate New York. Joe Russo is the team leader and he needs more team members. Many events take place in the summer in the area and the window of opportunity is short. Have you ever had your cell phone ring at an in opportune time? Maybe in church, at a doctors appointment, when you are just too busy to answer it, or you do answer it and it is a salesman. Cell phones are part of our lives today and they can be a blessing or an annoyance. Good news. We have a direct line to God through prayer. He is never too busy, His calls never get dropped and He is never annoyed with our calls. Have you talked to Him lately? He is waiting for your call.

Joe Russo, trainer for SOS Events in western New York, called yesterday about the exciting events to be held in NY this summer. Workers need to be trained to work at events with SOS Events Ministry. This is a photo of his training at a local church to prepare for the busy summer ahead. The first event of many will take place this weekend so we appreciate your prayers for many souls to be saved.

There is a Christian song, ” This World is Not My Home, I’m just passing through.” We as Christians are traveling through life in this world. Sometime we have joys, hardships and challenges. Just like traveling for vacation, business or family occasions, trips can have ups and downs. Once our trip is over and we return home we are happy that our travels are over. The same holds true on our journey toward heaven. What a joy that will be when we finally reach our Heavenly home. So as we travel through life keep our destination in mind. Joy awaits us in Heaven.
John 14:2 In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

In 2 weeks it will be Carolyn Curtis (cofounder of SOS Events) Birthday. She will be 80 years old. Her desire is to see SOS Events Ministry reach the goal of 80,000 decisions for Christ by the end of the year, in honor of her birthday. 70,000 have been recorded, so that means that the goal for this year 2018 is 10,000 decisions. You can be part of this goal by taking part in an event or personal soul winning using the “3 Things God Can Not Do”. SOS Events Ministry has Christians from all walks of life volunteering to witness at events. The testimonies of our team members are wonderful. People who came from various backgrounds, some grew up in a Christian home, former alcoholics and drug abusers (now saved and delivered), various religious backgrounds, but all have one goal in mind. To bring others into a personal relationship with Jesus. How about you? Do you have a desire to see others saved? If you do but do not know how or have fear to witness, SOS Events can help you. Tonight, some of the volunteers who worked at Strawberry Festival but could not come to the luncheon, will come to the SOS Events property to have dinner (supper) as a thank you for their hard work. It takes preparation to get ready for a meal. Can you imagine the preparation in Heaven for us, when we who are saved will attend the marriage supper of the Lamb (Jesus). He said He was going to prepare a place for us and part of that preparation is a supper to celebrate. What things we as Christians have to look forward to.
Revelation 19:9 And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.

in Florida there have been many storms in the last few days. These pictures (borrowed from my website) show a beautiful rainbow. It reminds us of the storms of life. We may have trials, sorrows and difficulties, however, they pass and we find peace and contentment because God has walked with us through our storms. And at the end when they are over there is joy.
Psalms 30:5 For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.

This testimony was written on the back of a decision card. SOS Events gets name, address, phone number, age and Testimony from people who have trusted Jesus at an event so that they will get a Bible study, be contacted by a local church and be prayed for. The goal is to lead them to Christ and have them start over in a new life as a Christian.
2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
