October 23, 2017Between now and November 4th, SOS Events Ministry has 16 Events just in Florida. That does not include the other states. Alabama, New York, Kentucky, Tennessee, New Jersey, Ohio, Indiana and others that have not checked in yet. Please pray with us for souls to be saved. Also, the volunteers who work at these events. Many are elderly, some have physical problems, the younger ones have jobs and families to look after, but their love for the Lord and their burden for souls is so great they come and work at events despite the obstacles. Please pray with us for these upcoming events.
Matthew 9:38 Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.
God is Faithful
October 18, 2017Dena had been wanting God to show her that when someone gets saved with SOS Events Ministry they grow in the Lord. A few minutes after she expressed this wish to one of our other workers along came Bryan. Bryan is a 12-year-old boy from Beech Bluff, Tennessee. Dena was blessed to share the ABC’s of salvation with Bryan at the Talladega Raceway in April 2017 where he accepted Jesus as his Savior. Bryan and his family returned to Talladega in October 2017. They came by our SOS Events booth to visit and tell Bryan’s story. When he returned home in April, he went to talk with his pastor. Bryan was baptized on Father’s Day. His grandparents attended the special occasion and one month later his grandfather went home to be with the Lord. We are so thankful to God for sending Brian back to us. What a blessing to Dena and the SOS Events team.
John 15:16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
Good News
October 17, 2017Salvation reports from two events over the past weekend. 20 people saved at Talladega NASCAR races in Alabama. In Dade City, Florida, there was an event called the Scarecrow Festival where 17 people make decisions to follow Christ. It is a great blessing to be part of SOS Events Ministry. Every week God blesses with souls. Please continue to pray with us as the next few weeks are the busiest of the year. There are so many fall festivals, Halloween events and other opportunities to witness for the Lord.

Carolyn’s Office
October 16, 2017Sometimes problems turn out yo be a great blessing. Carolyn Curtis’s office was filled with mold and mildew from a roof leak after the severe rains. The roof leaked and damage went unnoticed for several weeks because the water was coming into the interior walls and did not show other damage. The roof is now fixed, the mold and mildew gone, everything is like new even the beautiful office furniture (bought on Craig’s list). A nice place to welcome visitors and continue the work that Carolyn does for SOS Events Ministry. God is so good. Praise the Lord for turning this problem into a blessing.
Psalms 84:11 For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.
Talladega NASCAR Races
October 14, 2017
SOS Events is at the races! Pray for Dale Brown, Tabitha and Matthew Ragsdale, Carl Norton, Patricia S Sides, Glenn and Dena Priddy, Randy Thomas and Ramona Thomas, Beth & Wes Walker, Billy Irvin, and Bob Howard as they share about Jesus with race fans this weekend. Our SOS group will be at 3 different ministry sites using a simple but effective method of presenting the Gospel. Pray for all ministry team. A big shout out to Billy Dickey, Mark Stokes and the rest of the ARM crew who work hard as servant leaders for this event in the spring and fall and their amazing assistants Debbie Dickey, Ana Laura Raymundo, Jason Falls and too many others to name. Huge opportunity to reach those who may never attend church.

Prayer Requests
October 4, 2017This is SOS Events busiest time of year and we need your prayers. Today the Plant City, Florida Flea Market, where volunteers are busy soul winning. This weekend there are Events in Alabama, Tennessee, Kentucky and Indiana. Please pray for the workers and new trainees as they witness to win souls. Pray for Holy Spirit filling for each of them. Pray for travel as many go miles from their homes to win people to Christ. Also, pray for the attendees that they will be saved. The Results will be posted next week.
Ephesians 6:18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
SOS Tracts
October 3, 2017The woman on the phone ask for SOS Events tracts to be sent to her. This was not an unusual request except she was not someone that was on our mailing list, worker or volunteer. When asked where she got the tract she replied that she did not know. Maybe she picked it up at a restaurant or event, she did not remember but she loved the simplicity and clarity of the gospel on the tract. We sent her tracts the next day and hope that she will want become a team member as she lives in Orlando, Florida where there are multiple opportunities for soul winning.
Mark 13:10 And the gospel must first be published among all nations.
It Takes Time
October 2, 2017Sometimes we get discouraged, thinking that what we do for the Lord has not been successful. Handing out tracts, teaching a class, witnessing and we think nothing happens. Sometimes it takes a long time before we see the results of our labors. Last week we got a call from a man in Kentucky. He had been trained a year ago as a trainer with SOS Events. He had a display board, tracts and all the material necessary to get into an event, but we did not hear from him. But, after a year, he decided to get busy and start doing events. This first event is October 8 and he hopes to have several more during this autumn season. This example is repeated many times in SOS Events ministry. Sometimes it’s even years before people decide to use what they have been taught.
Galatians 6:9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
