The next 11 days for a lot of people will be the busiest time of year preparing for that perfect Christmas gift. Shopping in crowded stores, looking at catalogs, shopping on line.
The best gift you can give anyone is telling them about Jesus. For your unsaved friend, coworker or relative their best gift would be receiving Jesus as their Savior.
For your Christian loved ones a time of fellowship, a phone call or a message. Your time is more precious than any gift you could possibly buy.
Enjoy the Christmas season but don’t forget the best gift ever given…..Jesus.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that HE gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life

Mistletoe symbolizes the love we are able to offer to others only because of Christ who “first loves us.” This year, tell your kids about the true meaning of mistletoe. Be sure to let them know that the corresponding kiss is a symbol of peace, romance and the love of a Heavenly Father who we need to rely on in order to find abundant life.
1 John 4:19 We love him, because he first loved us.

Several of SOS Events Leaders and Volunteers are going through some difficult times. Illness, death of loved ones, financial problems and family difficulties. This beautiful poem is to encourage each one. Also, to ask for prayer for all the SOS Events volunteers. God did not promise freedom from trials even when we are faithfully serving Him, but He does show His love to us and comforts us in our trials.
2 Corinthians 1:4 Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.

This movie “Unplanned” should be seen by every Christian and especially young people. Not a movie for children. Take a tissue and be prepared for shocking scenes that will break your heart. This is not an entertaining movie, but one that will make you want to do something for the unborn. It is a story of God’s forgiveness.
It probably will not be in theaters long so go now.
Jeremiah 1:5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

Today is Valentines Day. Special because the one we love gets an opportunity to tell us how much he or she loves us. Weddings take place on this day, couples have plans for a romantic dinner, jewelry, cards, flowers and candy given as a token of love. A wonderful day for you, if you have that special someone in your life, but some of you do not have someone to give a gift or say “I love you.” You may be sad today.
This is a special Valentine for you.

1 John 4:16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.

This time of year seems to have a lot of celebrations that focus on love. Weddings, engagements and anniversaries. It is wonderful to see couples who love one another. Maybe you are one of the people who do not have that special someone in your life who loves you. You have been hurt, your spouse has died or deserted you. The good news is you DO have someone who loves you and will never leave you. That person is Jesus. He loves you so much He died for you and He will never leave you or forsake you. If you have not accepted Him as your Savior, do it today.
1 John 4:9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.

In February we see advertisements on TV, in stores and everywhere featuring hearts and flowers and talk about love and Valentines. It is a great time for the card companies, florists and candy companies. Restaurants will have overflow crowds on February 14th. Many people confuse romance with true love. True love is caring for someone so much that you would be willing to give your life for that person. That is the love that Jesus had for us when He died on the cross to save us.
John 15:13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
