God’s Promise To Those Who Are Saved!
March 20, 2023Tracts
January 25, 2023
Tracts are very effective. Many Christians have been saved reading a tract, either along with someone witnessing or them or picking one up and reading it on their own.
Carolyn Curtis is a good example. She was given a tract the morning she was on the way to Niagara Falls to end her life. While getting up the courage to jump in, she read the tract, prayed the prayer on the back and was gloriously saved. Since that time many have come to the Lord through her witness.
One tract can change a life. You can be the one to give a tract to someone in person, leave one in the restroom, at a store, restaurant or any public place. Put one in a library book, in a shoe box at a shoe store.
Be creative. Think of a place to leave a tract and pray someone will find it who needs the Lord. It is a life changing opportunity.
Justified!
January 23, 2023
Justified. What does that mean. If we have accepted Jesus as our Savior, it means in God’s eyes that we have never sinned.
God sees us through the blood of Christ. All our sin has been washed away.
Are you justified? If not ask Jesus to forgive you of all your sin. Believe that Jesus died on the cross, was buried and rose again on the third day. Repent of all your sin and begin a new life following Our Savior.
Who Can You Trust?
January 20, 2023
Who can you fully trust in? Family and friends may fail you but, Jesus never fails. The Bible tells us to trust in Jesus with all our heart.
What we think about is also very important. Philippians 4:9 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things
Two last lessons from a children’s song.
Oh be careful little heart whom you trust
Oh be careful little heart whom you trust
For the father up above is looking down in love
So be careful little heart whom you trust
Oh be careful little mind what you think
Oh be careful little mind what you think
For the father up above is looking down in love
So be careful little mind what you think
What We Do And Where We Go!
January 19, 2023
Oh be careful little hands what you do
Oh be careful little hands what you do
For the father up above is looking down in love
So be careful little hands what you do
Oh be careful little feet where you go
Oh be careful little feet where you go
For the father up above is looking down in love
So be careful little feet where you go
Sometimes we are tempted to do something we shouldn’t. Taking something that does not belong to us. Maybe it is just a small thing from work or something we found and do not look for it’s owner. Whatever tempts us to do something we know we shouldn’t is sin.
Where we go is important also. Going anywhere that is not pleasing to God can cause us to fall into temptation to sin.
Be careful what we do and where we go is good advice from the children’s song, but it is even more important as adults.
Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God. 1 Corinthians 10:31
Be Careful What We Hear
January 17, 2023
Oh be careful little ears what your hear
Oh be careful little ears what you hear
For the father up above is looking down in love
So be careful little ears what you hear
Another lesson from a children’s song. What are we listening to? We need to be careful to listen to things that are pleasing to God.
Music is especially important. It can honor God or can be very worldly and lead us into temptation.
What about our conversation? Do we listen to a off-color joke by one of our coworkers or do we try to steer the conversation to please God?
Radio, TV, or social media once again can be uplifting or cause us to sin by what we hear. Today let’s make the decision to only listen to things that are pure.
And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left. Isaiah 30:21
Good Advice From A Children’s Song!
January 16, 2023
Oh be careful little eyes what you see
Oh be careful little eyes what you see
For the father up above is looking down in love
So be careful little eyes what you see
This little children’s song we sang in Sunday School many years ago. For the next few days we will look at the Bible verses that teach no only children but adults what we should do to be obedient to God’s Word.
What we watch or read are images that are hard to forget. Today the temptation to watch sinful things are everywhere. TV, social media on our phones or computers.
If that is a problem let us determine in our hearts to only watch what is pleasing to God.
I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: Psalm 101:3
Anticipation!
January 10, 2023
Looking forward to something special. The dictionary definition: the act of looking forward especially : pleasurable expectation
Are you looking forward to an event in your life that causes you to have great anticipation? Maybe it’s an upcoming birthday, a wedding, a new home or a dream vacation.
Sometimes we look forward to something and it is even better than what we expected. Other times, things are a disappointment.
There is one event that every Christian should be looking forward to with great anticipation. That is the day when the Lord, Jesus comes in the clouds and we will meet Him in the air.
What a great and glorious day that will be.
Thankful for The Holy Spirit!
November 26, 2022
When Jesus left the world, He told his disciples that He would send them another Comforter. The Holy Spirit then came and dwelled within them.
The good news is that when we trust Jesus as our Savior, the Holy Spirit comes in and dwells in us.
He is our Comforter, Teacher, Guide and Director. I am so thankful for the Holy Spirit.
Be Thankful For Your Siblings
November 18, 2022
Many of us are blessed to have brothers or sisters. It is a special bond that can only be understood by those who have a brother or sister.
Maybe you do not have a sibling but have always desired to have that relationship.
You can fill your life with friends that are sometimes closer than physical siblings.
As Christians we are born into God’s family and that makes us brothers and sisters in Christ. That is also a special bond that we share with one another.
Today, pray and thank the Lord for your siblings and for your spiritual brothers and sisters.
“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:”
John 1:12 KJV
