Our World In Chaos!

July 25, 2020

There is an answer. It is found in the Bible.

2 Chronicles 7:14

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Pray For One Another

July 24, 2020

You may feel like the one who is about to fall into the hole, or you are helping to carry your friend, neighbor and fellow Christian. At this time of uncertainty and confusion, we need lift one another in prayer.

Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;
Ephesians 1:16

-I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, [and] giving of thanks, be made for all men. 1 Timothy 2:1

15 Souls Saved At Flea Market

July 23, 2020
Bert, Bertie and Richard at the Plant City, FL Flea Market

Praise the Lord for His many blessings.

The Plant City Flea Market is open on Wednesdays.

He blesses SOS Events with many faithful workers. Alice, who sets up every week very early in the morning. Richard, who is taking off on Wednesdays and working on Saturdays to be able to witness at the Flea Market. Bert and Bernie who are new volunteers and worked for the first time. And many others who volunteer for events.

Praise the Lord for the 15 people who trusted Jesus as their Savior. One young man could not wait for a Bible Study to be sent in a week or two. Alice came back to the home office and mailed him a copy of the simple Bible Studies in John. He will receive them within a day.

Psalms 9:1 I will praise thee, O Lord, with my whole heart;
I will shew forth all thy marvellous works.

Our Changing World

July 22, 2020

Our world has changed for everyone. It has become the “normal” thing to wear masks wherever we go.

A year ago, we would never see a bride and groom wearing face coverings at their wedding.

When our world turns upside down and everything changes, there is one thing that never changes. God’s love for us. Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever,

Hebrews 13:8 – Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

The bride and groom in this photo are Carolyn Curtis grandson and his new bride.

Personal Witnessing

July 21, 2020

Patricia, one of our SOS Events Leaders in Alabama, called the office with exciting news. She had the opportunity to witness to her 11 year old grandson, Philip.

He was not sure that he was going to Heaven. Philip had not been ready to be saved even though he has Godly parents, attends church regularly and goes to a Christian school.

Patricia talked with him and then used the “3 Things God Can Not Do” tract to explain to him the need of asking Jesus to forgive his sin. He finally understood, invited Jesus to be his Savior. He was ready!

At this time when events are few, we must be looking for individuals who may need salvation. Personal witnessing to family, friends and whoever we come in contact with is our responsibility.

1 Peter 3:15 – But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and [be] ready always to [give] an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:

Peace In Troubled Times

July 20, 2020

When everyday things seem to get worse, especially if we listen to the news on TV, radio or other media, God give us blessed promises.

Jesus promised us peace in our hearts. The world around us may seem like gloom and doom, but we can have complete peace and freedom from fear. Cast all your cares upon Jesus. He cares for you.

Great Definition Of Church

July 19, 2020

If you are physically going to church today or watching a service virtually one thing to remember, we worship our Heavenly Father.

It is wonderful to be in the family of God. Today, pray especially for your Pastor and the leaders of your church. Pray for the Holy Spirit to fill them to preach the truth. People need to be saved and become part of the family of God.

1 John 3:1-2 – Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.

Past Events

July 18, 2020

Unfortunately, events like Genesee County Fair ( in this photo from a year ago) has been cancelled for this year. Pray for events to open so SOS Events volunteers can get out and witness to people who need the Lord.

Acts 22:15
For thou shalt be his witness unto all men of what thou hast seen and heard.

July 17, 2020

Thank you who give to SOS Events Ministry. Founded in 2001 this ministry has documented over 70,000 souls who have made decisions to follow Jesus. There are some of you who have prayed, volunteered and given financially since the very beginning. Others are new supporters.

Contributions come in snail mail with checks or even cash and there are those people who prefer to give through PayPal. The amount varies from one time large gifts to the little ladies who may send a dollar or two each month. Every donation is appreciated and used to win souls to Christ.

The only paid positions in SOS Events are the small office staff. All others from the President of the ministry to volunteers who spend their own money many times for travel and even cost of events receive nothing from SOS Events except prayer and appreciation. There are a few missionaries who receive designated support and every penny goes directly to them.

Some of you who read this blog may be “turned off” by the subject of money but it does take money to function and win souls in today’s economy. If you have never given to SOS Events but would like to give, every donation large or small is appreciated and will be used to win people to the Lord. Go to the home page and click on the donate button or send via snail mail to SOS, P.O. Box 189, Dover, FL 33527.

If you cannot give financially you can do something even more needed. Pray everyday for the staff, volunteers and most of all for lost souls to be saved.

SOS Events Florida Team was blessed with 7 people who trusted Jesus as their Savior, yesterday.

God is so good! We give Him all the Praise and glory. It is so wonderful to have a few events open where we can witness. 2 of our Spanish speaking volunteers were back and at this Flea Market it makes a great difference.
