October 19, 2019Love that SOS ministries isn’t in the business of “just making converts” but that their hearts and ministry is to Share the Good News of Jesus Christ with whosoever God leads to them through the Holy Spirit and then follows up with those making decisions both through the local church body, national organization of SOS (prayer and age appropriate Bible studies) and discipleship/mentorship through plugging them into volunteering through the ministry. It’s the complete package: Salvation, Discipleship, Service, Duplication! Conversion and Discipleship are each a side of the same coin. But you can’t have discipleship without conversion first! SOS Events Ministry is coming into the busiest time of the year. Fall Festivals, Races, Fairs and many other events take place between now and the middle of November. Soul winning volunteers are desperately needed in all areas. If you have been a volunteer in the past but have not participated in awhile please say yes when you are contacted to work an event. You may be someone who would like to win people to the Lord at events. God is calling you. Contact the home office at 813-494-7512.

Fear and Greed!
August 31, 2019I remember when hurricanes were fun. No one panicked. No one hoarded. We got our surfboards out ready to hit the beach. If the power went out it was exciting because we got to light candles throughout the house and eat ice cream for breakfast. If you were lucky, you got school off for a day. What happened? I went to the store yesterday to grab some dog treats and dinner and it was like the apocalypse. The parking lot was a derby. No shopping carts. There was dry dogfood spilled in the aisles like there was a fight over the last bag of Fido’s fave brand or something. 😂
I got my stuff and got outta there. Now I need to go to the store today because we ran out of coffee creamer.😭 Please pray for us here in Florida. Because of the people. They are what I’m most frightened of. 😰😉

Longing for Home
July 31, 2019Have you ever been on a trip, in a hospital or just visiting but you are longing for home? There is an old saying “Home is where the heart is”. How true. We can be in any place and still feel at home if we are surrounded by people we love. As Christians we should be long for HOME. Our heavenly home where we shall see Jesus and be reunited with family and friends who have gone one before us. However, while we are still traveling this earth we do have our loved One Jesus, who is with us 24/7 no matter where we are. So, today, wherever you are you can feel at home with your Comforter and Friend Jesus but looking forward to the day when we will reach our Heavenly home.
