Do You Feel Trapped?
April 25, 2023
Sometimes in life we feel trapped. Maybe it is an illness, boring job or even with your spouse or some destructive habit you cannot quit.
The Bible tells us there is an answer. Jesus will set you free.
He will not necessarily remove the illness or give you a new Job, but He will bring you peace and comfort in the situation.
A marriage that is falling apart. He can bring it back together if both partners put Him first.
And that bad habit, give it to Him and He will remove the desire.
The key to any problem is putting Jesus first in your life. It sounds simple but it takes a life of commitment to Him. He loves you and wants to set you free.
What Do You Need?
April 24, 2023
What do you need? Strength, healing, money, job, spouse, answer to prayer? Everyone has a need of some kind.
Even when everything is going well we still have needs in our lives, the good news is that God can supply all our needs if we will trust Him with our problems.
The key to this verse is Jesus. Only through Jesus can all of our needs be met.
God is Good!
April 21, 2023
Can you honestly say God is good? God is good all the time has become a popular expression among Christians.
But, do we really mean it? Can we say God is good when tragedy comes? When we loose a loved one. Maybe a lost job, our home or wayward children.
GOD IS GOOD! We can look back on some of these heartaches and see that He was there through it all.
There was a time when I had a hard time thinking about God’s goodness, when my son died, but looking back I realize that God used that in my life to strengthen me. He was there to lift me up in my darkest hour.
God is there for you. In good times and bad we can honestly say, God is good.
Are You. Child of God?
April 20, 2023Are You Going To Church?
April 16, 2023
Maybe you cannot go to church because of illness, your job or family responsibilities. God understands.
But, you may have stopped going during Covid and never went back. Disagreement with a church member or hurt feelings. Think about it. Are those really valid reasons for staying home?
We do have many ways to get church services on TV, radio or YouTube. But does that really satisfy?
We miss fellowship with other Christians. We miss the opportunity to see people baptized after they have been saved. Sometimes we may miss seeing the Holy Spirit working in the hearts of others. We also miss the opportunity to help someone else who may need us to be their friend.
Church is important. Let’s go!
Do You Worry?
April 15, 2023
When you are a Christian, you are not supposed to worry. But we do.
The Bible says we should cast all our care upon the Lord, that is easier said than done.
We worry about our spouse, our children, finances, our health, relationships, and even things like events we may be going to.
One of the ways that will help us not to worry is to get into scripture reading, and prayer. A few good Bible verses follow.
1 Peter 5:7 – Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
Philippians 4:19 – But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
Matthew 7:7 – Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
Is Jesus Your Life Preserver?
April 12, 2023
If you were drowning and could not swim, what would you need? Someone to throw you a life preserver.
If we have not accepted Jesus as our Savior, we are drowning in our sin.
Jesus is ready and able to save you! You must believe that He died, was buried and on the third day arose from the dead.
He loves you and is patiently waiting for you. Accept Him today.
God’s Word is Pure!
April 11, 2023Jesus is Alive!
April 10, 2023
The Bible records many times Jesus appeared after He rose from being in the grave to many people.
To the women at the tomb that first Sunday morning. Two men walking on the road.
The disciples as the gathered together. To Thomas at another time when the disciples were together.
On the shore of the lake where Peter and some of the fishermen had been fishing and to many others.
Jesus ascended into Heaven after 40 days, but He left them with a command, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.”
That is His command to us also. It is our responsibility to tell others about Jesus death, burial and resurrection. He died for the people of the world, but they must hear it and accept the message to be assured of eternal life.
