When we have a bad day how do we handle it? We can react in two ways. Get angry and have a temper tantrum and rage or stay calm and quiet. Situations can be frustrating but as Christians we must not be part of the problem with a bad attitude. If temper and bad disposition are one of our personally traits, let us ask the Lord to help us overcome our bad attitude starting today.
Colossians 3:8 But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.

13 decisions for Christ at the NASCAR races in Talladega this past weekend!! The two men in the picture with Jessica (an SOS Events volunteer) are Austin and Jake who made decisions for Christ 2 years ago at the races and insisted on being baptized in a small pool at a vendors site right afterwards (with friends and family present to witness). What a great testimony they give each year to this life changing life saving ministry of SOS Events.
Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Outside of the USA, we find difficulties because of language, culture, weather difference and living accommodations. The area may be beautiful, the people great, and the food delicious, but it is not our home, we are just visiting. When we come back to our home we are happy because there is no place like home. That is how we as Christians should view our time here on earth. There may be difficulties, but we have Blessings also. We are just passing through. Someday we will reach our heavenly home and we will be joyful and glad to reach our final destination. To spend eternity with Jesus will be coming home.
John 14:2-3 In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

Some people have to start their day with a cup of coffee. They feel they cannot function without that coffee in the morning. Others have a certain routine that gets them moving without coffee or breakfast. However you start your day, there is one thing that is essential, that is having time to communicate with The Lord with Bible reading and prayer. Don’t have time you think. Your day will go much better if you start it with Him.
Proverbs 8:17 I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.

Matthew 13:13 Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.
Jesus spoke in parables so that true believers would understand what He wanted them to know and the unbelievers could not understand His instructions. Sometimes our physical seeing gets dim or out of focus and our hearing gets dull as we get older, but we must not allow our spiritual eyes to to be out of focus or our spiritual hearing dulled. How? Just as we correct our physical problem with glasses or hearing aids, we correct our spiritual problems by reading scripture and praying everyday. Allow Jesus to speak to you clearly and pray for understanding.

The USA has many dates are set aside to honor special people. April 11, yesterday, was Siblings Day. A time to be thankful for your brothers and sisters. However, some of us do not have siblings or maybe there has been some family disagreements that have kept you apart. Good news, as Christians we have many brothers and sisters in Christ. There is a bond with other Christians that can even be closer than our blood siblings. Let us be thankful for our fellow Christians and appreciate the relationship that we have with them.
1 Thessalonians 4:9 But as touching brotherly love ye need not that I write unto you: for ye yourselves are taught of God to love one another.

Sometimes we think we are having a “bad” day. Nothing goes right. We get frustrated and angry. When you have a day like that, (and we all have had them), STOP and think what Jesus did for us. What suffering He endured for us. Crucifixion is a horrible, painful death. Jesus willingly went to the cross so that we can have eternal life. Our troubles are small compared to what Jesus went through for us. So instead of complaining and getting angry, think about Jesus and thank Him for one blessing that He has given you today. The biggest one is eternal life. No more pain, sorrow or trouble is what we have to look forward to.
John 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

This is the time of year when students, teachers, businesses and others have “Spring Break”. People go about getting away from their regular routine to have fun, vacation and relax. Everyone needs to take time out for some relaxation or we get burned out. There is Someone who never stops taking care of us, He is always “on the job” Aren’t you glad that God never sleeps or takes a vacation from us. If you are taking a break, now or later, remember to keep in touch with Him. Do not get away from God. Continue to pray and read your Bible even if you are on Spring Break.
Psalms 121:3 He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.

The Bible says that Jesus was 3 days and 3 nights in the tomb before His resurrection. Biblical Scholars have different opinions of when He died. Some think Wednesday and others say Friday because time was calculated differently than our calendar today. Whenever you believe Jesus died, is not as important as you knowing and believing that Jesus died, was buried and rose again so that you might be saved. As Christians we can have different opinions about the times but we must agree to disagree “agreeably” and love one another.
Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
