Marketplace Salvations

June 14, 2018

Praise the Lord for 10 people who made decisions to follow Jesus at the Plant City Farm and Flea Market yesterday. The Bible tells us to GO and He blesses the SOS Events team members who go to the Market each week. If you have a Market in your area and want to obey God’s command to go, SOS Events will be happy to get you started. Contact the home office on the Contact page for more information.

Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

Do You Have 2 Birthdays?

June 1, 2018

Everyone needs 2 birthdays if they want to go to Heaven when they die. Jesus said, “Ye must be born again.” Your first birthday is the day you were born. The second birth is the day you invite Jesus to be your Savior. When you ask Him to save you and accept His death, burial and resurrection as payment for your sins, you are born into the family of God. If you do not have that second birth, do not delay. Invite Jesus to be your Savior today!

John 3:7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

80,000 Souls

May 19, 2018

In 2 weeks it will be Carolyn Curtis (cofounder of SOS Events) Birthday. She will be 80 years old. Her desire is to see SOS Events Ministry reach the goal of 80,000 decisions for Christ by the end of the year, in honor of her birthday. 70,000 have been recorded, so that means that the goal for this year 2018 is 10,000 decisions. You can be part of this goal by taking part in an event or personal soul winning using the “3 Things God Can Not Do”. If you want to partner with SOS Events please go to the home page, click on General on the top and it will open an email to us.

James 5:20 Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.

God Wants You!

May 18, 2018

SOS Events Ministry has Christians from all walks of life volunteering to witness at events. The testimonies of our team members are wonderful. People who came from various backgrounds, some grew up in a Christian home, former alcoholics and drug abusers (now saved and delivered), various religious backgrounds, but all have one goal in mind. To bring others into a personal relationship with Jesus. How about you? Do you have a desire to see others saved? If you do but do not know how or have fear to witness, SOS Events can help you. It does not matter what your background is, God wants to use you to be a soul winner. Check out SOS Events training videos to help you get started.

Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Storms

May 16, 2018

in Florida there have been many storms in the last few days. These pictures (borrowed from my website) show a beautiful rainbow. It reminds us of the storms of life. We may have trials, sorrows and difficulties, however, they pass and we find peace and contentment because God has walked with us through our storms. And at the end when they are over there is joy.

Psalms 30:5 For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.

Adopt a Mom

May 12, 2018

Tomorrow is Mother’s Day, a great day for Moms with loving children who honor their Mother with cards, gifts and maybe a phone call or some expression of love. But, look around you, there may be a woman who is hurting on this special day of the year. It could be that she has lost a child and is grieving. She may have a child who has gotten into trouble and is in jail or the child (young or old) who is rebellious and refuses to contact her. Whatever the reason for her sadness she needs someone to show love to her on Mother’s Day. You can be the one who will lighten her load. If you have a neighbor or someone at church who may be hurting, invite her for lunch tomorrow, or get a small gift and surprise her with it. A phone call or card would be the thing that would brighten her day. So think of the woman you can Adopt a Mom. A small thing with a great blessing. Even Jesus when on the cross thought of His mother and provided for her care.

John 19:27 Then saith he to the disciple, Behold thy mother! And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home.

Attitude

May 3, 2018

When we have a bad day how do we handle it? We can react in two ways. Get angry and have a temper tantrum and rage or stay calm and quiet. Situations can be frustrating but as Christians we must not be part of the problem with a bad attitude. If temper and bad disposition are one of our personally traits, let us ask the Lord to help us overcome our bad attitude starting today.

Colossians 3:8 But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.

Have a Good Morning

April 14, 2018

Some people have to start their day with a cup of coffee. They feel they cannot function without that coffee in the morning. Others have a certain routine that gets them moving without coffee or breakfast. However you start your day, there is one thing that is essential, that is having time to communicate with The Lord with Bible reading and prayer. Don’t have time you think. Your day will go much better if you start it with Him.

Proverbs 8:17 I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.

Spiritual Understanding

April 13, 2018

Matthew 13:13 Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.

Jesus spoke in parables so that true believers would understand what He wanted them to know and the unbelievers could not understand His instructions. Sometimes our physical seeing gets dim or out of focus and our hearing gets dull as we get older, but we must not allow our spiritual eyes to to be out of focus or our spiritual hearing dulled. How? Just as we correct our physical problem with glasses or hearing aids, we correct our spiritual problems by reading scripture and praying everyday. Allow Jesus to speak to you clearly and pray for understanding.

Having a Bad Day?

April 10, 2018

Sometimes we think we are having a “bad” day. Nothing goes right. We get frustrated and angry. When you have a day like that, (and we all have had them), STOP and think what Jesus did for us. What suffering He endured for us. Crucifixion is a horrible, painful death. Jesus willingly went to the cross so that we can have eternal life. Our troubles are small compared to what Jesus went through for us. So instead of complaining and getting angry, think about Jesus and thank Him for one blessing that He has given you today. The biggest one is eternal life. No more pain, sorrow or trouble is what we have to look forward to.

John 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
