Praying that everyone who reads this will have a blessed day!!
Good Morning!
September 15, 2016Trust the Lord
September 14, 2016“When the train goes through a tunnel and the world becomes dark, do you jump out? Of course not. You sit still and trust the engineer to get you through.” Corrie ten Boom
Proverbs 3:5&6 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Churchyard Event
September 13, 2016Eastmont Baptist Church in Alabama holds an Event Called country Country every year in September. They have free food, a concert and rides and games for the kids. SOS Alabama team has a booth and this year there were 3 decisions for Christ on Sunday.
Churchyard Events are important as God always blesses with souls.if your church is having an event that is attended by your community it is a perfect time to see souls saved. Many people will not come on a Sunday morning but they will come for fun, free food and activities for the children. What about you church? If you are having an event, don’t use time and money without giving your community opportunity to be saved. SOS Events will be happy to help you and provide training and materials for your event.

Well Done
September 12, 2016This past week, Rick, Grace and Evie (son-in-law and 2 daughters) helped Carolyn Curtis paint the inside of her home. It was a long tedious job and took an entire week before the job was completed but the work and effort was entirely worth it. The transformation of the home after many years is amazing. A job well done.
When we meet Jesus, He will look at the work we have done for Him here on earth. Will His comment be to you, “Well done, thy faithful servant” or “Depart from me I never knew you”?
Born again Christians have a responsibility to Him to obey and do the work He has called us to do. Unsaved people sometimes do “good works” thinking that is enough to get them into heaven. When I stand before Him, I want to hear, Well Done. How about you?
Matthew 25:23 His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
Matthew 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Pray for America
September 11, 2016Remembering 9/11/01 today, 15 years later. Right after that terrible day for all Americans, our churches were full, people prayed and ask God for help and safety and now, sadly, we as a nation have forgotten and turned back to complacency and prayerlessness. We need to turn back to God and become a “Christian” Nation again as our founding fathers intended. The Constitution says, “Freedom of religion” not freedom from religion. Pray for the USA.
2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
God is Great
September 10, 2016Old hymns that have been sung in our churches for years are wonderful. Some of the new worship songs speaks to the heart but let us not stop singing the hymns of the past. They speak volumes of how great God is. We need the old along with the new.
Just read the words of this great hymn and make it a prayer of worship today.
Psalms 86:10 For thou art great, and doest wondrous things: thou art God alone.
Are You Ready?
September 9, 2016Praise and Prayer
September 8, 2016Praise God for the 16 decisions for Christ during the month of September, for the over 40 newly locally trained SOS volunteers in Alabama. SOS Events Alabama team led by Dale and Dorothy Brown and Patty Mills do a wonderful job all year to bring souls to Christ and train new soul winners.
Your prayers are vital in helping us fight the attacks of the evil one as he seeks to do what he does best: “steal, kill and destroy.” As the ministry rolls into what promises to be the busiest season of the year, will you please commit to join with SOS Events Ministry in prayer, specifically for complete and total surrender to God’s will and for His protection? There is a spiritual battle being waged but make no mistake – we know Christ is the victor!
1 Corinthians 15:57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
SOS Events Needs You
September 7, 2016New events are being added to the SOS EVENTS calendar for the September to December busy season. We are thankful for the opportunities God gives us to win souls. Please pray for the workers and the lost that they will be saved.
You can have a part in the blessings. Pray, give and participate. There is always room for more events and more volunteers. SOS Events needs you to help in any way you can. Lost souls are waiting to hear the gospel.
Romans 10:14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
Our Freedom
September 6, 2016Federal court judge Carlton Reeves, appointed by Obama, has ordered the marching band of Brandon High School (Mississippi) to remove the hymn, “How Great Thou Art”, from its half-time show. Everyday our Christian freedoms are being taken away in America.
This coming election is so important because the judges make decisions that effect our lives. The new president will appoint one to four new Suoreme Court Justices in the next few years. Study the issues and realize it is not just the president you are voting for but even more important who is elected will appoint these Judges. We must not allow any more of our freedoms to be taken away.
Galatians 5:1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
