It is hard to believe that we are still having the coronavirus around for over 2 years. This has caused much division in our country, workplaces and even among families. It is time to put our trust in the Lord, and ask Him to heal our differences as well as this disease.
As Christians we need to take reasonable precautions, however, we do not need to be overwhelmed by fear and frustration. God promises to protect His children. Let us put our trust in Jesus, our Savior and give Him all of our fear no matter what the circumstances.
The Bible says, today is the day of salvation. Are you waiting until you are good enough? There is none righteous.
Are you holding on to a sin that is in your life and you do not want to let go? Jesus cleanses all our sin. Give it to Him.
Maybe you are trusting in another god who you think will get you to Heaven. Jesus is the only way. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
You may think you have plenty of time but we are not guaranteed one more moment of life. Do not wait any longer. Make today your day of salvation.
The Bible says what we think, is what we are. We can be positive or negative.
We are so tempted to think negative, unproductive and even sinful thoughts. What we think is what we become.
Have you ever been unable to sleep because something is bothering you that your mind will not let you rest? I think we have all been there.
What can we do about these thoughts? The Bible has the answer.
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Philippians 4:8
If we listen to the news media, we may experience fear, worry, doubt, defeat, and discouragement.
Wars, natural disasters, spreading of coronavirus and other bad news can cause us to have negative thoughts.
These thoughts can cause our faith in Jesus to falter. How can we overcome and get back to a secure faith in Jesus?
First, read the Bible daily. Remember who Jesus is and what He has done for us. He is our Savior. We can trust Him with our life.
Do not listen to negative reports. Be aware but do not let the news become an obsession. Turn it off if you have to.
Stay away from people who are negative. Fellowship and seek Godly council from spiritual Christians.
Pray and ask the Holy Spirit to guide us into a closer relationship with the Lord. God loves us and will take care of us no matter what the circumstances.
2022 is here. Will it be a year full of joy or sorrow? Will we have success or failure? Sickness or health? God does not allow us to see into the future but he does promise to guide us if we put our trust in Him. He is with us in every circumstance, good or bad and He is always good.
The staff of SOS Events wishes you and your loved ones a happy prosperous New Year. May God bless you as you trust in Him.
Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Many people will be celebrating New Year’s Eve tonight drinking, going to parties, etc., only to start the New Year with a headache and hangover. We can start our New Year with a clean heart.
Christians take time this evening to pray for forgiveness for the unconfessed sins that we have committed. If you have never accepted Jesus as your Savior there is no better way to start a new year than becoming a new person in Christ. Happy New Year. May 2022 bring you and your loved ones peace and joy that only the Lord can give.
2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
Christmas is over, time to take down the beautiful decorations and keeping in our hearts the memories of Christmas 2021. It always makes me sad to put away those wonderful things that make Christmas special every year. As we put away the lights, tree, nativity sets, let us NOT put away the truth of Christmas, Jesus was born into this world to be our Savior, and it is our responsibility to tell others. So let us make a resolution to be better witnesses in 2022 and Serve Our Savior with more zeal than we ever had before.
Witnessing is a little more difficult because of the restrictions in some areas, but we can make phone calls, write notes and use social media to be a witness for the Lord. Be creative. Think of someone today who needs the Lord and pray for him or her, and then contact them. People need the Lord now more than ever.
Acts 26:22-23 Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come. That Christ should suffer, and that he should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should shew light unto the people, and to the Gentil
After the wise men’s visit, Joseph was warned in a dream to take Jesus and Mary and flee to Egypt. Herod was seeking to kill Jesus and not getting a report back from the wise men he had all the young children in Bethlehem killed. But Jesus was safe and the little family stayed in Egypt until Herod was dead.
Then once again Joseph had a dream and returned but went to live in Nazareth where Jesus grew from childhood until He started His earthly ministry.
God’s Word is true. Every prophesy concerning Jesus birth was fulfilled down to the last detail. Many people leave Jesus in the manger as a baby but do not believe future events also predicted in the Bible. Jesus is the Messiah, He did die on the cross and He is coming again to rule and reign over all the world. Are you ready for a great future with Jesus the coming King?
Matthew 2:13-15 And when they were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him. When he arose, he took the young child and his mother by night, and departed into Egypt: And was there until the death of Herod: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Out of Egypt have I called
Anna, a prophet, was also there in the Temple. She was the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher, and was very old. She was a widow, for her husband had died when they had been married only seven years.
Probably, after her husbands death, Anna would have been encouraged to get married again and have children.
Anna, chose to stay single. She chose to serve the Lord. She chose to fast and pray, worshiping the Lord day and night. She told people the news of the Savior that was coming, no matter how long it might be before he came.
She knew her purpose and she didn’t let anyone’s opinions or comments keep her from it. Then Anna saw Mary, Joseph and the baby Jesus in the temple and knew her purpose had been fulfilled.
Luke 2:36-38 And there was one Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Aser: she was of a great age, and had lived with an husband seven years from her virginity; And she was a widow of about fourscore and four years, which departed not from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day. And she coming in that instant gave thanks likewise unto the Lord, and spake of him to all them that looked for redemption i
