If you have never heard the song, ” Brighten the Corner Where You Are,” try to find someone who can sing it to you. It has a catchy tune and is a happy song with a good message.
Most of the songs and hymns written years ago came from problems or tragedy. Ina Duley Ogden was invited to speak at a great Sunday School Convention, but instead was called home to take care of her father who had been injured in an accident. In her disappointment she decided to be a blessing to just the people around her, especially her father and wrote the words to the song. “Do not wait until some deed of greatness you may do,/ Do not wait to shed your light afar,/ To the many duties ever near you now be true,/ Brighten the corner where you are.”
Her song became so popular that it opened all of Billy Sundays revivals for over 22 years and tragedy blessed not hundreds of people but thousands.
Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Y sucederá que antes que llamen, yo responderé; y mientras estén hablando, yo les escucharé. Isaias 64:24
Billy Graham said, “Prayer is simply a two-way conversation between you and God.”
How often do we have a conversation with God? His desire is to have fellowship with us. What a blessing to be able to talk to The Creator anywhere, anyplace or anytime. He cares about us. What a friend! What a Savior! He answers our prayer.
Isaiah 65:24 And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.
Who we walking with? The Bible tells us to have wisdom about who are friends are.
Do you seek out people in your life who lead you in the right direction morally, spiritually and physically? Or do you choose to hang around those people who will drag you down?
This verse tells us exactly how we should walk and most importantly that we should walk with God. Today let us choose to walk in the path that GOD directs us.
And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:11
y toda lengua confiese que Jesucristo es el Señor, para gloria de Dios Padre. Filipenses 2:11
In devotions today I realized that GOD cares about individual names. Then, I thought, Jesus name above all names. His name is the most important name we can know. Not just a name but Him personally.

On Thursday the office staff of SOS Events had the privilege of celebrating Val’s birthday. There was good food, fellowship and gifts for her.
The greatest thing is that she has 2 birthdays. Here physical birth and her spiritual birth. The first was when she came into the world as a baby, the second when she accepted Jesus as her Savior and was born again.
Do you have 2 birthdays?
