Encouragement for today!

If you have never heard the song, ” Brighten the Corner Where You Are,” try to find someone who can sing it to you. It has a catchy tune and is a happy song with a good message.

Most of the songs and hymns written years ago came from problems or tragedy. Ina Duley Ogden was invited to speak at a great Sunday School Convention, but instead was called home to take care of her father who had been injured in an accident.
In her disappointment she decided to be a blessing to just the people around her, especially her father and wrote the words to the song.
“Do not wait until some deed of greatness you may do,/ Do not wait to shed your light afar,/ To the many duties ever near you now be true,/ Brighten the corner where you are.”

Her song became so popular that it opened all of Billy Sundays revivals for over 22 years and tragedy blessed not hundreds of people but thousands.

Romans 8:28
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
