When we go on a trip we prepare by checking the route, making a list so we don’t forget anything, making sure our home is secure.
We need to make preparations to go to Heaven. The only route we can take to get there is Jesus. We find the list in the Bible. It tells us what we need to do to be sure we are on the right path. Finally we make sure we are secure, by accepting Jesus as our Savior.
Are you ready for the greatest trip we can take. Are you Heaven bound?
Read your Bible. Pray every day (repeat 3 times). Read your Bible. Pray every day. And you’ll grow, grow, grow (repeat 3 times). Read your Bible. Pray every day. And you’ll grow, grow, grow.
Don’t read your Bible. Forget to pray (repeat 3 times). Don’t read your Bible. Forget to pray. And you’ll shrink, shrink, shrink (repeat 3 times). Don’t read your Bible. Forget to pray. And you’ll shrink, shrink, shrink.
I love this little kids song. I remember teaching it to my children and in Sunday School.
It may be a song for children, but the lesson is also great for adults. We grow in faith and our Christian walk when we read the Bible everyday. Remember, this is one of the ways GOD speaks to us. We grow closer to Him when we read and understand His Words.
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 2 Timothy 3:16
The Plant City Car Show was a success. The young man in this photo trusted Jesus as his Savior. He is filling out a decision card and will get a Bible Study.
SOS Events Ministry has faithful workers who volunteer at various events. On Saturday it was extremely hot. Over 90 degrees, but Alice, Jess, Stephanie and Ursula took time to brave the heat to witness.
Some people think was it worth it for only one person. YES. The Bible tells us that the angels in Heaven rejoice over one.
The good Shepherd, Jesus, is seeking that one lost sheep.
Luke 15:10 – Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.
Luke 15:4 What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it?
The “3 Things God Cannot Do” tract, designed by SOS Events Ministry, is a very effective witnessing tool.
Tammy, a friend in Ohio, finished her meal in a local restaurant and handed a SOS Events tract to the waitress. Then walked outside.
The waitress, Ryan, ran out the door and told Tammy, “I am a Christian, I just got saved and was baptized last Sunday. Then Tammy invited Ryan to visit her church. Pray for both Tammy and Ryan.
Exciting things happen when we are faithful to give out tracts. Sometimes people get saved or new friendships develop.
“So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.” Isaiah 55:11
Our vision is very important. To be able to see clearly is a blessing from God.
As we age our vision may become clouded. We may need glasses or even surgery to see clearly.
In our spiritual life we have the same problem. When we first become a new Christian our vision is clear. We want to obey God’s Word. We have a desire to see people saved.
Then we grow older in the faith and we get complacent. We are not as quick to do God’s will. We do not have a vision for people who are lost.
Are you loosing your spiritual vision? Ask God’s forgiveness and get clear vision again. Read the Bible daily and pray. Then use every opportunity to tell someone about Jesus. People are perishing without someone to tell them.
What a blessing to see clearly, both physically and spiritually.
Everywhere we go the signs are still up. Stay 6 feet away from each other. In an elevator there was images of 4 sets of feet and a sign only 4 people in the elevator at a time. Are you social distancing?
The restrictions are being lifted in many places and there is different opinions on if these restrictions should be kept in place.
The one place that encourages us to get close is in God’s Word when He tells us to draw close to Him. No restrictions. Just call on Jesus and remember He is close to you at all times, if you have trusted Him as your Savior.
Psalms 73:28 – But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, that I may declare all thy works.
