Tampa Bay Give Day Event 2018
The Lord has given SOS Events Ministry (Event Evangelism, Inc) the opportunity to participate in the Tampa Bay Give Day event to bring awareness to the ministry. This event benefits non-profits not only for donations but for volunteers. We so appreciate the opportunity to bring awareness to God’s ministry. The culmination of this event is Tuesday, May 1st with a possible segment on a Tampa Bay local TV station.
Your prayers are appreciated in this first time endeavor to make know God’s work in this venue. During the event we not only shared information about the ministry but were given the opportunity to witness.
We invite you to get acquainted with SOS Events by visiting the website at http://www.sosevents.org. If you are looking us up on the Tampa Bay Give Day site, we are listed as our legal name, Event Evangelism Inc. in Dover, FL.
Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. 2 Corinthians 9:7 (KJV)

Wednesday Flea Market in Plant City, Florida is a great place to go soul winning. Yesterday 25 people were saved at this weekly event. Praise the Lord. One of our faithful Spanish speaking volunteers, Richard, (picture below) will not be able to work at this Flea Market from now on as God answered prayer and he has a new job. Richard has been a great blessing and he will be missed on Wednesdays. However, God is so good He sent not one but 2 Spanish speaking men yesterday to witness at the SOS Events Soul Winning booth. God always supplies our needs.
Philippians 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

SOS Events Ministry is fortunate to have office staff who not only works to keep the ministry running smoothly but are also Soul winners. Diana, our office manager, is always looking for opportunity to witness when someone new comes into the office. Recently she won a young man to the Lord who came to work on the property temporarily. Praise the Lord, who sends people to us to be saved.

Richard, a faithful SOS Events soul winner, is rejoicing with this young mother, one of the 15 people that were saved at the Plant City Flea Market yesterday. What a blessing to see hundreds of people come to the Lord every year at this weekly event. Praise the Lord for our faithful soul winners and people who have been saved at this event that is held every Wednesday.
Philippians 2:16 Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.

Workers from community event in Dade City, Fl reported 22 Salvations. More reports will be coming in in the next few days as many churches had Easter Egg hunts and other activities over the weekend. There is absolutely complete joy in winning souls. Yesterday, SOS Events had three volunteers go to an event in Seffner, Fl. It was not a huge event but the people that were there were friendly and the children were having a great time. A young mother came to the booth with her beautiful little daughter. She had been wondering how to be sure she would go to Heaven but did not know what she had to do to be sure. She recently had purchased a Bible trying to find the answer. When she sat down with the soul winner she was so happy to hear how her sins could be forgiven. After she invited Jesus to be her Savior the joy on her face was a blessing to see.
James 5:20 Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.

The crowds are gone. Decorations put away until next year and another Strawberry Festival is over. God is so wonderful as He has blessed the SOS Events booth once again. We prayed for 250 decisions or more. The count was 247 (we thought), Then when the decision cards were recorded on the computer there had been a mistake. Final count 253. God answers prayer. Please pray for these new Christians as they receive their Bible Studies, that they will grow and find a good church to attend.
Acts 2:47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

Originally the vision for SOS Events Ministry was to have teams in every state of the USA, and that is still a goal yet to be reached. However, over the years, Christians have taken “3 Things God Can Not Do” to other countries. Germany, England and Portugal to name a few. Recently a team from Alabama went to Belize in Central America where 34 decisions were recorded. Also, many people from 92 countries have visited the website and had opportunity to be saved. To God be the glory, great things He has done. Praise the Lord for His blessings.
Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

The Strawberry Festival is a once a year “big” event. Only 3 more days to go. Please continue to pray for souls. However, we must not minimize the “smaller” regular events. The Plant City Flea Market is a great example. On Wednesday this week 17 precious soul came to know Jesus. There is a fable about a Tortoise (turtle) and the Hare. The hare (rabbit) is faster but the turtle is slow but steady. At the end of the race the turtle won. The Strawberry Festival is like the rabbit, many souls get saved in a short period of time, but the regular weekly event wins more souls by the end of the year. We are blessed to have the opportunity to witness at events both big and small.
Luke 14:23 And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.

SOS Events Ministry has many wonderful volunteers who work in the booth at events and we are thankful for everyone. This week we were extremely blessed to have two retired Pastors work in our booth, both for the first time. Jay, 85 years old, talking to two people at the display board and David, in his 70’s, witnessing from the smaller display. Cynthia, mother of 5 and not a senior citizen, is at the table. Jay and David loved working with SOS Events as it gives them opportunity to do what they love best, telling others about Jesus. If you are retired or know someone who is and wants to witness in a non confrontational way for a few hours when needed, SOS Events is the perfect place for you.
Isaiah 43:12 I have declared, and have saved, and I have shewed, when there was no strange god among you: therefore ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord, that I am God.
