Do you have a favorite Bible verse or verses that keeps you focused on God no matter what the circumstances. If you do not then it would be a good thing to ask God to give you one. This is Carolyn Curtis, cofounder of SOS Events Ministry, favorite.

July 9, 2017A Good Start
July 8, 2017“The prayer offered to God in the morning during your quiet time is the key that unlocks the door of the day. Any athlete knows that it is the start that ensures a good finish.” – Adrian Rogers
Proverbs 8:17 I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.
Love One Another
June 27, 2017This poem was found on the internet about the people we should love to show God’s love to us:
Do Everything In Love
In everything you do,
Do it in love
For the Father is watching
In Heaven above.
At work or at play
Offer words of kindness to others
To the cashier, the barber
The bus driver and new mothers.
Jesus is the example
That we all should follow
Love is the ultimate gift
To give those in good times and sorrow.
1 John 4:7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
Salvations and Assurance
June 26, 2017It was a busy weekend for SOS Events. In Alabama at a yard sale there were 8 decisions recorded. 4 Salvations and 4 Assurance of Salvation. Many times people have been saved but have no assurance of their salvation. It is important to reaffirm their faith an sometimes they will stop at an SOS Events booth to do that.
1 John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
Impossible
June 20, 2017“We have a God who delights in impossibilities.” – Billy Sunday
Have something to do that seems impossible? God has the answer.
Luke 1:37 For with God nothing shall be impossible.
Happy Father’s Day
June 18, 2017Our Father
June 17, 2017“Any man can be a Father but it takes someone special to be a dad.”
Tomorrow is Father’s Day in the USA. A day when we honor our fathers. To some the day is a happy occasion. New fathers look at their babies and have joy in their new child. Some people are sadden on the day because their father has passed away or has abandoned the family. A day of mixed emotions. To the Christian, we know we have a Heavenly Father who loves us, and is always there, just a prayer away. We can call Him, Abba Father, which is translated “Daddy” in the English language.
Galatians 4:6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.
Jesus is the SON
June 9, 2017“The closer you are to the Son, the less likely you are to get burned.” Posted on a church sign.
Matthew 3:17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
Got Problems?
June 7, 2017Are you hurting from problems, physical, financial or spiritual? Do not be discouraged, look to the One who can bring comfort to you, the Lord Jesus. Also, seek help from others. Physical, God gave us doctors and medicine to help us with our health problems. Financial, there are many good godly programs available to help you get out of debt. Spiritual, read your Bible daily and talk to a Pastor or Councilor who can help you have victory over the problem.
1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
Direct Line
May 31, 2017
Today when we want to communicate via phone we have freedom to talk (or text) anywhere, anytime without having to be in one place to use the phone as this child in the picture. Prayer is like that. We do not have to be in a specific place only able to speak to God in church or at a designated time of day. God is always ready to hear our prayers directly without any person, place or thing. Jesus is the reason we have a direct line to God.
Luke 11:2 And (Jesus) he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven,
