For several years now we have been working all over the Plant City Farmers Market on Wednesdays – Some spots good and others, not so good. However, today the Lord blessed us with a permanent spot under shade trees ! (Just in time for summer!) This also means we do not have to get up so early and get in line. (Another blessing!) – To top this day off God drew seven to Him today! — Praise His Holy Name!Randy Thomas

A young man who just trusted Jesus as his Savior in the SOS Events booth told the soul winner that he had no family. What a blessing to be able to tell him, “You have a family now, when you asked Jesus to be your Savior you were born again into God’s family and you have brothers and sisters in Christ.” Pray for this man that he will be welcomed into a local church.

Blessings come in many ways. A email message, a visit or a phone call can really be an uplift to your day. Yesterday a blessing came to Carolyn Curtis via a message from her cousin, Joe, who she had not seen in many years. He wanted to find out more about SOS Events as he goes soul winning continually in Westen New York. He wants to have a booth along the Erie Canal. Many places along the canal have become tourist attractions. A great opportunity for soul winning in the summer as people gather to have picnics, boating and special events. What a joy to have a family member who has the same desire to win souls. Pray for Joe and his vision for a booth on the Erie Canal that will bring many soul to Christ.

Time to think about fun and soul winning. A great place to have an event is at the church where neighbors can come and meet church members, have fun and fellowship. Eastmont Baptist Church in Montgomery, Alabama had a Neighborhood Picnic last weekend and 4 people made decisions to follow Jesus. What a blessing. Now the church will follow up by sending notes and visiting. This is a great way to help your church to grow.
Acts 2:47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

Want to have a great day today? Do something special for the one you love, spouse, parent or child. It may be something a simple as making their favorite food or leaving them a note in an unexpected place. Maybe it is a friend or neighbor that you could encourage. Call them or stop over with a small gift. A smile to a person you do not know and a friendly “Have a blessed day” may make a huge difference in that persons life. Anything you can do to bless someone else can give you joy in your day even if you may be feeling down.

Do you find it hard to wait for certain things? Tempted to have something right now, go into debt only to find out that God would have given it to you if you just would’ve waited. Ready to pack up at an event because we’re not seeing results. That happened over the weekend with some of us at SOS events. Then at the last minute a young man came up to the display, wanted to be sure he was on his way to heaven and was gloriously saved. So glad we waited.
Psalms 27:14 Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.

The Easter weekend was busy for SOS Events Ministry in many areas of the USA. Praise the Lord for a great training of 11 new volunteers and 3 new leaders at Union Baptist Church and then at their bike night they had 2 salvations at the booth. Wow! Boom! That’s how discipleship works!! Griffin, GA. This event was lead by our Alabama team.
2 Timothy 2:2 And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.

SOS Events is blessed to have dedicated volunteers like William. He is at the Plant City Farm and Flea Market every Wednesday, witnessing to win people to Christ. He is fluent in Spanish, which is very much needed as this event has a many Spanish shoppers. William is a fine example of the ministry name, “Serving Our Savior”. Yesterday two people were saved.
Luke 14:23 And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.

There are people in ministry that work behind the scenes that nobody notices but are a vital part of the ministry. SOS Events has several volunteers who are like that. One of them is David Dow. He has been with the ministry for many years. He is faithful and always is willing to do whatever it takes to see that everything runs smoothly on the property. He builds all the displays, repairs anything that needs upkeep, including the van and workshop tools. SOS Events would not have grown to what it is today without David and others like him.
Hebrews 6:10 For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.
