Sometimes problems turn out yo be a great blessing. Carolyn Curtis’s office was filled with mold and mildew from a roof leak after the severe rains. The roof leaked and damage went unnoticed for several weeks because the water was coming into the interior walls and did not show other damage. The roof is now fixed, the mold and mildew gone, everything is like new even the beautiful office furniture (bought on Craig’s list). A nice place to welcome visitors and continue the work that Carolyn does for SOS Events Ministry. God is so good. Praise the Lord for turning this problem into a blessing.
Psalms 84:11 For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.

Blessed or bewitched? Some people are superstitious and believe that if the 13th day falls on Friday it is “unlucky”. This fear dates back to hundreds of years before Christ. The Bible tells us that everyday is blessed by God and we as Christians must trust Him. So today, Friday the 13th, praise the Lord for His goodness and blessings that He has given you. Go out today looking for something good to happen to you.
Psalms 145:2 Every day will I bless thee; and I will praise thy name for ever and ever.

Praise the Lord for answered prayer. 21 Salvations yesterday at the Plant City Flea Market. Those of you who prayed with us for many Salvations, thank you. Bible studies will be sent to the new Christians as soon as possible.

Sometimes we get discouraged, thinking that what we do for the Lord has not been successful. Handing out tracts, teaching a class, witnessing and we think nothing happens. Sometimes it takes a long time before we see the results of our labors. Last week we got a call from a man in Kentucky. He had been trained a year ago as a trainer with SOS Events. He had a display board, tracts and all the material necessary to get into an event, but we did not hear from him. But, after a year, he decided to get busy and start doing events. This first event is October 8 and he hopes to have several more during this autumn season. This example is repeated many times in SOS Events ministry. Sometimes it’s even years before people decide to use what they have been taught.
Galatians 6:9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

Praise the Lord for the 22 decisions in Royersford, PA yesterday. Steve Slater is the team leader in there, and he and two SOS Events team members did a wonderful job witnessing for the Lord. Continue to pray for this team as they have another event in two weeks. Steve and his wife Shirley also have an active nursing home ministry. Praise the Lord for faithful laborers.
Matthew 9:38 Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.

Sometimes in life when we think there is only sorrow or trials, we think God has forsaken us. Then He gives us a blessing to show us that He cares and loves us. When going through the darkest trial look for the blessing. It may be something very small, like a phone call or text message from family or friend. It may be something big like a rainbow after the storm, but God is there and we need to lean on Him for peace and comfort.
1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

There have been several new babies born recently into the families of SOS Events Ministry staff. It is a wonderful blessing to see these newborns grow. Within a month or two they are already learning new things and look totally different then when they were first born. The same should be true for new Christians. When they are born again they are like new babies. They should be growing in the knowledge of the Lord. Their talk should be different and even their appearance changes. In August SOS Events had the privilege of seeing almost 800 people make decisions for Christ. They will all get Bible studies and the local churches will also do follow up. Pray these new babes in Christ will grow into mature Christians.
1 Peter 2:2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:

What a joy to see that people from around the world are taking advantage of SOS Events website and especially this blog. As of this morning people from 79 countries outside the USA have visited the site. What an opportunity to study God’s Word with the Bible studies. Salvation is presented clearly on the home page for the unsaved. People praying for SOS Events from all over the world is a great blessing. When this Ministry was founded in 2001 with just two ordinary people, we never expected to see it grow to influence not only the USA but many countries around the world. To God be the glory.
