Psalms 118:24 This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

This story may or may not be true, but it is something to think about. As Christians we must be careful how we treat others. Sometimes our attitude, especially at church can make a huge difference in another’s life. Are we friendly, kind and helpful to those who come to church? Do we make visitors feel welcome? If someone is alone do we offer to sit by them to make them feel more comfortable? Look around and see if you can be the difference in someone’s life at church today.
Ephesians 4:32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.
Event Evangelism, Inc is the legal name for SOS Events ministry and not all of our witnessing takes place at events. The definition of an event by the founder, Tom Curtis. “An event is when you get up in the morning.”
Everyday is another opportunity to witness. Young mother at home with small children, witness to someone on the phone or a neighbor or delivery man. Student, witness to your unsaved fellow students. Business man or woman, you have many opportunities to witness as you work (make sure you do not do it on the boss’s time). Elderly, even in a nursing home you have people around you to witness to for the Lord.
Today is an event. Give someone a tract, tell someone your testimony or use the simple “3 Things God Can Not Do” approach which takes less than 2 minutes. Make today your special event.
Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Sometimes our hearts are heavy or our minds are so clouded with cares of our life that we don’t know how to pray. We do have the Holy Spirit who then prays through us and for us. Try in those times to find one thing to be thankful for and tell Jesus thank you for that. Remember, He knows about the situation and can help in any circumstance.
Romans 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

This LITTLE twig caused great problems in the SOS Events home office. The air conditioner stopped working in Alice’s office. The compressor came on but the fan did not work. In 90 degree heat an air conditioner is a must. Before purchasing a new one, Tony, Diana’s husband, came to take a look. When he checked the fan he found this LITTLE stick blocking the fan. Problem solved.
Many times in our Christian lives we allow LITTLE things to spoil our joy and relationship with others. The Bible tells us that LITTLE things, like the tongue, cause great problems. Let us determine to not allow LITTLE things to ruin out testimony or our relationship with God and others.
James 3:5 Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth!
SOS Events Ministry is Blessed to have many faithful volunteers. Shirley and Doug Black have traveled from The Finger Lake area of New York to Batavia to help with training last Sunday and then work at the Genesee County Fair all week. But, that is not all…. they winter in Florida and take part in many tradings and events there. What a blessing to have this dedicated couple as part of SOS Events Ministry.
1 Corinthians 3:9 For we are labourers together with God: ye are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s building.
God gave me the privilege of leading a young lady to Christ and leading her sister and friend in a prayer of rededication using SOS Events (ABCs of salvation) while participating in #ServeDay19 with many other servants. These sweet souls are being followed up on and discipled by their pastor Lieutenant Brian Farrington of the Salvation Army Church, COTH’s ministers and SOS Home Office. They will also receive tons of prayer from all and free age appropriate Bible studies through the mail for as long as they want them. I thank God for SOS Events – Carolyn Curtis, Dale Brown, Dorothy Brown and other mentors in that ministry for seeing the need to train and equip and encourage the saints to be sensitive to the Spirit and then bold in intentionally sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ with all.

Saturday, Joe And Frank volunteers for SOS Events worked at the Genesee County Fair all day and God blessed their faithfulness with 12 people accepting Jesus as their Savior. Praise the Lord for these new Christians. Join with us in prayer for them to grow in their walk with the Lord. In the photo is Frank with 4 teens who are filling out decision cards so the church can follow up and SOS Events will send them Bible Studies.
2 Peter 3:18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.

When SOS Events volunteers go to an event to witness and win souls, the most important thing that they must do is rely on the Holy Spirit to bring people to the booth and then bring conviction into their hearts so the hear and accept the gospel. All the work, prayer and preparation will come to nothing without the Holy Spirit’s Power.
